copies vs originals

for the interview Maribel has all my originals documents, birth cert, divorce papers, IRS transcripts etc . i brought those all to her in may. my question is will photocopies of my pay stubs and phone records from may to the interview in august be okay? or should i snail mail the more recent items?

hello there, I wasn't asked for the pay stubs of my hubby but i had the photo copy and the original that time if ever they asked me. Wasn't even asked for the employment records. If you are in above poverty line you are safe. No worries!

About the phone records..I don't know coz we don't have them really. We do have yahoo voice chat everyday.

better bring the original and photocopies. based on my experienced i bring the original and photocopy. we can't read the consul's mind or even predict but there are different consul there...(usem) the others ask a lot of proofs, the other's don't. to be safe, bring the documents that u think it will help you on ur interview, in case they will ask you... tnx.

Photocopies of pay stubs and phone records is sufficient. The required official, signed letter from your employer stating your employment and salary is more important than the paystubs in terms of what kind of proof they are looking for, IMO.

Photocopies of the paystubs/phonebills are fine as long as the notarized affidavit and cert of employment in company letterhead is original.

Btw, if I'm not mistaken, you're the couple who was featured in one of the local tv shows in the Philippines that featured Filipinas marrying a foreigner. Am I right? I hope so...

YOU CAN SUBMIT PHOTOCOPIES I THINK, I SAW A WOMAN IN THE EMBASSY DURING THE INTERVIEW AND ALL SHE GOT ARE PHOTOCOPIES OF HER RECEIPTS. SHE ALSO GOT PRINTED COPIES OF CHATLOGS. I GUESS IT DON'T MATTER.

IN MY CASE, I DO NOT HAVE MUCH MONEY TRANSFER RECEIPT BECAUSE MY HUSBAND GAVE ME EXTENSION ATM CARD, AND SO I SHOWED IT BUT THE PRE SCREENER DID NOT MIND GETTING MY ATM CARD.

I ONLY HAVE ONE MONEY TRANSFER RECEIPT (IN ORIGINAL DUPLICATE FROM THE BANK), THAT RECEIPT WAS ON BEFORE WE MEET IN PERSON BECAUSE WE GOT ENGAGE ONLINE WITHOUT SEEING EACH OTHER YET! SO HE SENT ME MONEY TO BUY WEDDING GOWN AND SHOES, I'M GLAD IT WAS NOT QUESTIONED.

higante - we are hoping the interview will be 1st week of aug, her sputum results are out end of july so she plans to call a couple of days early then hopefully get cleared and get the shots and release from slec 31July

higante - we are hoping the interview will be 1st week of aug, her sputum results are out end of july so she plans to call a couple of days early then hopefully get cleared and get the shots and release from slec 31July

timecass_12 - yes we were on that show, it was a gift and an honour to be able to do it coz now we have our very 1st ever meeting down in film and we can watch it anytime and have a memory of it! it was great !!!!

Photocopies are fine. During my interview, the prescreener asked for my notarized I 134, W2 and form 1040 (W2 and form 1040 were just photocopies). They didn't ask for my fiance's pay stub and employment letter. VJ friends said that if your income is more than 125% of the poverty line, the pre screener doesn't usually ask for proofs of income.
