Can someone tell me if i am missing something for the I 864

I have the following

i864 filled out

3 years trans scripts

job letter

last 2 months pay stubs

citizenship proof (naturalization cert)

my co-sponsors docs i have (sis n brother in law)

TWO i864a one for my sis and other from the brother in law

3 years tax papers

job letter for both

pay stubs

and naturalization certs for both..

and i missing something for me or my co sponsors please advise.

i think you should be fine. before you proceed, check james shortcut and also the nvc document created by lotofpatience.

Do your co-sponsors live in the same household? I believe I-864A is for co-sponsor who lives in the same household.

If they do not live in the same household, they got to fill up I-864.

I have a related question. Due to my husband's horrid filing habits, he has no complete tax records. We noticed the IRS website has 2 request forms: one for tax RETURNS, and one for tax TRANSCRIPTS. Anyone know which of the two we should we be requesting?

Unless you live with your sister and brother in-law, they don't provide I-864a. Unless you are part of their household, only one of them provides an affidavit and it would be another I-864, not the "a" version.

Perhaps, if one doesn't qualify alone they'd accept an I-864 from one and "a" from the other.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

Yoke,

I would suggest you send a birth certificate of your's and your sister's.. that proves that you both are biologically related and also marriage certificate of your sister and your brother-in-law that proves their marriage. If you guys live together at the same address, proof residence is needed.. In that you can send utility bill of your's that states the address and some thing like that of your sister's and brother-in-law. Also copy of driver lic or state id would be good too..

I don't think you need to send your naturalization certificate with this. Since you must have send it to them when filing I-130..

You would need to send in a copy of your and your sister's birth certificates. I had to do that. You would also try to send the most current W-2 and your sister as well. That is what the rep at NVC told me. I sent the copy of the 2 years of W-2 and sent in my sister's most current w-2. I hope that helps.

you can call IRS and request a tax transcript for the past 3 years for free of charge. i did this myself last week as i was missing information from the 2005 financial year. tax transcripts serve the same purpose as tax returns. make sure you also ask for your W2 as well. here is the number to call (expect long waits when you call so be prepared for that):
