My fiance is in Morocco at the moment. I have filed my I 129F form and it was approved. He had his interview on the 15th of July and they said the case needed to be processed administratively in Washington.

Does anyone know what that means? Or how long (on average) it takes for them to process it?

It could be that it was sent for the FBI background check.

Was your K1 approved at the interview, and was just pending the results from Washington?

Our interview was on 020608, approved at interview but sent to Washington for checks. We are still waiting. Which box was checked on the paper? Im assuming ours is taking so long because his name is Mohammed but mostly what I hear 6 months is normal.

Lol is anything normal in this whole process?? But mostly I hear that if washington is doing checks 6 months is average...not to say there arent some alot quicker, just recently people in the support group I am a part of have gotten their visas through casa in just a matter of weeks. I have to be positive about 6 months though because Mohammed and I are nearing that post interview mark.

You're right "normal" is a relative statement righ? Anyway, insha'allah it will be over for you soon... there is a "support group" for Casa????

I wish I had an estimate of how long it will take. I am at a loss! What does "Administrative Processing" mean? Is that code for "Security check"? I e-mailed the Consulate in Casa twice. They were unable to give me answers because the processing takes place in Washington. Does that mean FBI? I am so frustrated!
