It's a long wait no matter how you do it.

Hang in there.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Join the club - Govi and I should have maybe gotten married here rather than in Nepal but I was thinking the wait would be maybe 2-3 months longer max - not a huge problem I thought and then we won't have to do AOS but then I read that a fellow Nepal filer(K-1) who filed a week after me went from filing to interview IN 4 MONTHS while we am still waiting for NOA-2 from VSC and most likely won't be together for another 6-9 months....

Since you filed in Nov and I filed in Jan you shouldn't have to wait quite so long as 6-9 months, maybe 4-7 but who knows with VSC......

I would recommend visiting your wife if you have the time/money, it will give you something to look forward to instead of this never ending wait... I found however that after spending 6 weeks with Govi it is even harder being away from him than it was before - it is like torture... :crying:

If i knew that everything would be ready in 4-5 months i'd be happy but....up to 9 months that is torture.

Married overseas isnt the problem. Problem is processing with VSC.

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

Some get processed quickly and some slowly. If you're lucky, you won't have to wait as long as I did. Hang in there!

I'm looking at your timeline. Did you file for K-3, or CR-1? If you filed for K-3, did you send in your I-129F?

Done for 3 years or 10 years. Haven't decided yet.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!
