DS-3032, my foreign address or US address

Hello fellow CR-1/IR-1 hopefuls,

I have a question for those of you who gone through the NVC process already. Is it faster to put my US address on the DS-3032 choice of agent form, or my husband (beneficiary's) address in the United Kingdom. I live in the UK right now with my husband so was wondering if it makes a big difference since the "STRONGLY" suggest you use a US address.

Thanks a million

If you have someone reliable to receive the correspondences for you in the US, I would say go ahead to appoint that person to be your agent.

Yes. I've read in other forums that it is usually best to have it delivered to someone in the US to avoid delays in the mail. You can use the global express guaranteed service which takes 2-3 days for delivery so whoever receives it in the US can mail it to you asap.

if u check lotsofpatience's fastest nvc process, u can email the choice of agent. check it out. it would significantly trim the wait time for the NVC process. =) God bless!

I'm in the same boat as I live in the Dominican Republic with my husband. We put my mom as the agent of choice and gave them her US address, just to avoid mail delays or getting things lost in the mail (probably happens a lot more here in the Dominican than in the UK, but still)...
