I did:-). i figured anything I could do to make the important and relevant materials stand out was fair game, so I highlighted names, dates, addresses, account numbers, and type of evidence as appropriate.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Sure, why not? As long as you don't go crazy with the highlighter. You want them to see the things that are important, especially on financial documents. I highlighted names and addresses first, so they don't have to go looking for them. I work with documents all day long and being able to find the important stuff right away is a great help. That's what we want to do, make it easy for them. As long as the highlighting does not distort anything you should be fine. Just keep it to the really important parts.

Ha, is there room for one more comment, in trying to be super nice to the officer looking over the tons of documents we sent, some very legal with names and addresses hard to find, elected to highlight with yellow as they should just want to see our names at the same address. To be consistent, highlighted all of them. Still took forever to get our ten year cards, but at least we didn't get called in for lack of evidence. Didn't get called in at all, just one bright sunny day, our green cards were in the mail.
