okie! thanks for the quick reply. my fiance has to print his forms out at the library whenever he gets his packet, so he wanted me to ask so he can get form number memorized so he can type it up as soon as he gets on the pc! :P

it's only one page for this particular form right? i printed up the forms (for my own reference) at work & noticed that there's only 4 forms altogether?! am i missing something?

From Dep of State site!

Nonimmigrant Visa Applications

DS-160 (NEW): Coming Soon. The new DS-160, Nonimmigrant Visa Electronic Application, will eventually replace current nonimmigrant application forms DS-156, 157, 158, and other related forms, such as the DS-156E, 156K, and 156V. The roll-out of the new DS-160 will be gradual. Therefore, not all U.S. Embassies and Consulates will be required to use the form at the same time. Learn More. Check back later for an implementation announcement which will appear here. The upcoming announcement will indicate when specific Embassies will require nonimmigrant visa applicants to use the new DS-160.

Wait and see what he gets in his packet.

To be completed online, printed, and mailed off to the London Embassy

DS-230 Part 1 (only pages 1 and 2 are completed out of 4 pages)

DS-156 (print 2 copies, but do not sign)

DS-156K

DS-157

If he's going to the library to print, make sure he has a list of all visits to the US, length of visits, and type of visa because they ask that. In my fiance's case it was 20 something so he didn't know that off the top of his head and needed a list. You can't save the form, so if he gets started filling in and doesn't have all his info at hand, then he's wasted that time and will start from scratch the next time. He might want to go print a set of each and fill in by hand as a rough draft to make sure he has everything. You know how you get to filling in forms, then wonder what they mean and what you should put in a blank. He could resolve all that on his scratch copies then go type and print the real ones when he's got everything to his liking.

A tip on the barcode form. It looks like there's not enough space to list a bunch of data, but the box just keeps expanding as you type and it all prints out and is included in the barcode.

Thanks for the response. :) Thanks for the advice!

I copied/pasted your reply to my fiance. He's telling me he doesn't need to practice his documents...that he can do this in one go. Yeah right. His memory isn't so good sometimes, he knows this. :help:

I'm hoping to get him to look at these online in a few days. After I do some of this -----> :bonk:
