Hi, can someone share your status if you are located in New York or around?

We are from New York City. My wife sent I-751 package at the end of Jan and got her fingerprint done on Mar 8th. We checked status on line several days later and found they touched our case on Mar 13th as below:

On February 5, 2008, we received this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates.

However, they didn't mention about the fingerprint has been taken. Is that normal? Shall we call USCIS just to make sure? It has been almost 4 months and there is no other update at all since then.

Does anyone have an idea? Or do you have the same situation like us?

Thanks.

I assumed that you are in VSC...that means that your waiting is over 10 months. They still are in mid 2007 cases dear.

Yes, this is absolutely normal. They don't make any changes on the online status when you complete the biometrics. At the most you may see the 'last update' date change but even that is not guaranteed. VSC is currently approving I-751 applications submitted May/June/July 2007 so you still have some time to wait. I applied the end of February, my file was transferred to Vermont and my last update is for March telling me that my file was transferred. My last 'updated date' is just after my biometrics in April. Good luck and don't worry - you're doing fine.

Thank you all for sharing your status.

It seems it's very slow with VSC. I didn't go to USCIS and checked the processing timeframe on I-751 but couldn't believe the date is Apr 29, 2007. I remember i checked several months ago and it had the same date.

Wish good luck to all of you guys. Hopefully all our cases can be approved soon. If there is any good news, don't forget to let us know.

Sadly, it's entirely normal... it seems that if you're very lucky you'll be approved before the 12-month extension expires, but don't expect to hear anything before that. Judging by the approval dates we're seeing here, VSC is up to September '07.
