vaccinations - required?

I got confused about vaccinations! Is it required to have all the vaccinations before the medical examination??? or no?????

If yes, the vaccinations required are the following: (?)

-- Acellular pertussis

-- Hepatitis A

-- Hepatitis B

-- Human papillomavirus (HPV)

-- Influenza

-- Influenza type b (Hib)

-- Measles

-- Meningococcal

-- Mumps

-- Pneumococcal

-- Pertussis

-- Polio

-- Rotovirus

-- Tetanus and diphtheria toxoids

-- Varicella

-- Zoster

Before the medical examination, my fiance went to her doctor and got all her vaccinations record; as she didn't want to be caught by surprise at the medical exam appt, she also asked her doctor what vaccinations she was missing. She was missing a few so she decided to get those before she went to her medical exam; when she went to the medical exam, she was told all her vaccinations were up to date, except for her tetanus shot, so she got tthat there.

So even if you don't have all your vaccinations, most likely you'll get them at the medical exam....

I'm not sure if this differs by embassy, I'm thinking it doesn't, but in Colombia the beneficiary only has to get three shots: MMR, TD & varicella. That's all.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that vaccinations are not required for the K Visa. Only for the IR or CR. K visa holders are required to get vaccinations when they adjust status.

Here in the Philippines, K visas receive the vaccines during the medical exam. The vaccines are cheaper here than in the US. Your fiancee will be given vaccines that are only appropriate for her age.

Vaccines are also included in the medical fee, so no need to get it outside the clinic accredited by the embassy. Goodluck!

This is not the case in Australia. You have to pay extra for any vaccinations you are missing.

I had my medical earlier this week and the panel doctor compared the immunisation summary which my GP had given me and with this vaccine schedule: http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dq/pdf/ti_vacc.pdf to see which vaccinations I was missing.

Good thing it's included in our medical exam fee..I heard that the vaccines in the US are expensive.
