you also choose to be in this situation the system is unfair we know that and before i got involved in this thing i knew that it was not going to be easy specially because my husband is from Dominican Republic and they have a 2 year waiting or more... NO MATTER WHAT so i knew that my case was going to be painful but I CHOOSE THIS i decided that my love was bigger than the system and i was going to battle BUT if it doesn't work out we have a plan B and that is either move with him at DR or move to some other spanish speaking country where we could earn a living.

as humans we have rights and those are to be treated equally!

I also get stupid excuses from USCIS..

1) when they take out your case to look at, they put it back at the end of the line.. the local office officer told me that I have a right to keep checking on my case, but that is what is going to happen..

2) they transferred your case to the local office, but since the local office doesn't have a processing time for these types of cases, we don't know how long they will take..

3) at the local office, they told me I filed TWO applications and I wasn't supposed to do that (I-130/I-129F).. the officer said because they have to "consolidate" it now, so that's why it takes more time than other people.. no ####, they had "consolidated" back in November 2007.. I told him that most people do it this way (explained I-130 gets IR1/CR1, and that I-129F gets K3 visa).. he didn't care for the answer.. he was like "who taught you all this?" and started laughing at me.. he said I was supposed to only go with the I-130.. and by filing the I-129F, I made it slower on myself..

4) other organizations do security checks, not just the FBI.. this was after I told them I received a letter from the FBI stating I had no security checks on my case as of March 2008 (originally they transferred my case to the local office November 2007).. then I had a local office interview on February 2008.. so I wrote to the White House (president), and he forwarded to Dept of Justice & FBI.. received letter in the mail from the Records Management Chief there..

there's plenty of other excuses that I received that are full of BS..

i understand your frustration trust me i do and i apologize for saying nasty things to you like pcana said nobody DESERVES bad things but dont blame other people for your troubles. blame the right entity which is the screwed system we have but that even though we think is bad we considered to be better thatn the ones in our spouses countries and that's why instead of moving with them we think better to bring them here.

that's true.. but I tried "blaming" the system, and it didn't work, haha.. so I apologize for attacking the illegals.. but you have to admit that they are a factor of what is going wrong in the immigration system..another "excuse" I had was I started getting mad one time at the local office, and then a security guard came over and said "you better not do that again, or we will kick you out." It seems you can't even get mad at their employees.. I did "buy" a petition, so technically I'm a customer.. and supposedly customers are always right.. well, except in the government.. so I'm down to my last resort too.. if this lawsuit does not go through, then I'll move back with her.. I already set a deadline in my signature.. I'm going back at the end of the year for another visit though.. hopefully we can spend at least one Christmas together before something good/bad happens..

in my case i will say the same as you did because the main reason why petitions to Dominican citizens delay is FRAUD and that most of them only marry US citizens to get to America that's all. but that is not my case but i have to pay the price of others doing wrong but i don't have the right to get back at all Dominicans and tell them that they are the worst thing on earth and that thanks to them i can't be with the only clean person in DR.. this whole thing is cruel but i really hope we get to see changes. at least in my case the eliminate the waiting list wich still have people pending for interviews from 2006, so probably i won't have to wait 2 or 3 years to bring my husband to US as other people prior june 2007 had to do.

check the others from your country... don't give up.. haha, maybe I should have given myself the 2-3 years deadline too.. so i wouldn't have that much of a high expectation for USCIS..

here's another one that is not so fast.. but past the 180 days... but still way less than 2 to 3 years time.. they still fall within the 6-8 months time that most people go through..

as you could see he was lucky to be approved by June 07 that was when the waiting list was abolished. in my case the approval was not the delay the issue was when waiting for interview.

I don't know how long mine will take to get approved and that is not what we are discussing about is just the fact that we can't make prejudice comments and generalized when we are struggling too.

so they have a waiting list for new people who petition for Dominican Republic? did you get an approval already? Your timeline isn't updated then..

for petitions that were filled from June 07 no more waiting list actually NVC takes care of scheduling the interview date with the embassy at Santo Domingo. but one of my husbands cousing filled a petition on 2005 and got approved in 5 months BUT waited for an interview 1 year a 6 months.

see, but he got approved in 5 months time.. that's good.. I just want to hear something about my case... it's good to have something in the hand (like your case is approved).. at least you know you got a good shot at getting the visa.. this first wait for the approval is the hardest..

tell me about it i'm a person that hates to depend on others but in this case i'm in USCIS hands, i know i have it easier than most of the people in this forum as my husband is only 3 1/2 hours away from me and i go to see him every 2 or 3 months but still it hurts to have a relationship based on telephone and emails. right now his company email server is down and he is bombarding me with text messages. lets hope things change and improve but trust me bringing hate and compare us with others is the worst mistake you could make. just give your self a time with your wife and i really hope that you don't have to move to china to be with her and that your case gets approved soon.

same to you thanks.. it's just so frustrating that none of the rules work out.. and with all of their "excuses" too.. why can't they work on it? Even the people on the phone (1-800) tell me the same stuff.. that the case got transferred, but since they don't have a processing time for these types, we are not sure when it will get done..
