I just witnessed an accident on the way to work (not major, but still). The crazy fool that hit the other car was weaving right in front of me for a while - til she hit someone else. So I called 911 and stayed to report my "witness account" for the other guy. She was driving under a suspended license and probably had no insurance..... all I could think of was Dawn - this is not going to happen in front of my eyes! Thank God it was only minor damage and no injuries.

tasha - I had to laugh when I read what you wrote about your husband. Mine keeps saying "it's very hot....very very hot". roflmaooo!!! did they, like, forget already what it's like in Egypt??? This is NOTHING compared to Egypt heat so I'm not understanding why he's hot and moreso why he is so AGAINST turning the a/c on during the day so that I can come home to a nice cool house and be the loving wife he's come to know and adore instead of the raving mad lunatic beeeeeeeeeatch he meets at the door when I realize it's hot as hell in the house again because SOMEONE didn't close the windows and turn the a/c on.

I had this problem when he first got here. He would crowd himself up in the house with no windows open and I felt like I would die of a heat stroke when I approached the front door. Also, he thinks that Malek still needs to be swaddled in a furry blanket. Malek was napping on the couch yesterday, I came in, picked him up and he was sweating. My husband said the air is on....ok, yes, but its 78 in here. Dang it....if I keep him outside he thinks its a wonderful idea to run the AC but if he's inside he says its too cool. OH also, he says if the fan is on him at night it makes you sick...like sick in your chest. I feel like its a no win battle...too hot, too cold. Oh whateverrrrrrrrrr, I still love my wishy washy man!

The houses here trap heat IN with all the wood, house wrap, insulation and all that....and surely the humidity is the real cuplrit...don't these guy feel that....how many showers a day do they take ;-) MENA cement homes keep cool even in the H3LL of the summer. Heck even the shade under a tree is cool there!

I thought i was the only one with this problem. Kamal is driving me nuts with my fans and air conditioner. He don't want me running one or the other. If i run both, he has a fit. If i run one he has a fit. I have asthma i have to breathe. Finally, I stood my ground last night, I told him he best get used to it, cause i was going to run them both whether he liked it or not, cause i needed them. And today no complaints.

so....i found a lady who does in home day care...3 mins down the road and she only charges 10$ stinkin dollars a day...Wooohooo sofyan and i are gonna go meet her next week...

My kid crying is hard to believe??? lol ALL THE POOR THING DOES IS CRY

WOW! $10 a day? That's awesome! I pay $320 for my daughter to be in an after school program for 1 1/2 hour a day!

u know JP he does in a sense, but i think thats just cause i know how to calm him down, lol...he fights his morning naps lately, so, by 11am, he is a wreck and doesnt wanna do anything but cry...

When my cousin went back to work after having her baby, she had her mom watch the baby. She would get really fussy. So her mom would put on her daughter's nightgown and the baby would recognize the smell and go right to bed.

OMG, a typhoon must have blown in on my way home from work! I left my office, it was barely raining, by the time I got 1/2 way home it was raining sheets so hard that I could hardly see a car's length in front of me. It's still raging w/ thunder, huge bolts of lightning, and so much rain coming down hard and heavy.... hope it slacks up soon.

ETA: I live less than 10 min from my office...

it teased me today . Thundered massively, turned dark dark gray outside, and even managed to squeeze about 3 drops of rain out and then *poof* gone. I was so disappointed. I just loev the rain!

Yeah and at this point of the wait, don't be surprised if he has 25 neighbors that all know someone that got the visa in 2 weeks so surely you must have done something wrong.

I remember when we were placed in AP, a friend of my husbands told him that going in AP was not normal and that meant he wasnt getting the visa ever. Well that sure did bring down his spirits quite a bit. I would say outside influence has alot to do with it, people constantly ask them what happened with the visa and they get sick of saying nothing yet.

Dorothy-- Do you know what caused your food poisoning? I got it once and man-- I was totally knocked out for about 3 days and i lost 15lbs in 3 days as well.. and the pain was excruciating. Probably should have gone to a hospital, but ummmm not going to spend the money I then lost another 15 lbs in the next few months because I couldn't even imagine wanting to eat

Amal-- I solved that blanket ####### really fast. Ammar doesn't mind the A/C at all and he's not a wrapper upper too badly, but he INSISTED on us both being under the covers in Jordan at all times-- he would cover me up. Well, I got a really bad fever one week and he covered me up with like 2 of those horrible blankets and also covered up my face-- which caused me to panic (fever was over 103 and i was really not totally with it) and I punched at him and kicked and screamed until he uncocconed me. It worked out. He's never tried to coccoon me again. He now accepts that I really don't want to be covered up and that i do just fine and don't get sick at all. I'm also a bad sleep talker/walker and apparently if he tries to cover me up and I am actually too hot I will tell him (in my sleep) "STOP or I will kick you". How pleasant I am in my sleep!
