LOL most of you guys are talking about, NVC and preparations for interview hahaha! I envy you guys! And of course I am so happy for all of you!

AND.... for those who are still waiting like us yaaayyyy! Hang in there. Seeing they have been approving May 1st filers, it's a good sign though that ours is just around the corner... We'll all party when the waiting is over...

2009-08-05 Case transferred to CSC

2009-08-12 no biometrics yet.......called on 30 day mark to report no biometrics, a service inquiry has been made on the case.....

2009-08-25 - received Biometrics appointment letter!

2009-08-27 I-131 (AP) approved

2009-09-15 Biometrics appointment

2009-09-15 EAD Card production ordered!

2009-09-23 EAD Card received

2009-10-06 GC approved/card production ordered

2009-10-13 GC received in the mail!

Yaayyyy WELCOME TO THE CLUB hahaha! We should call our club the WAITERS hahaha I am just joking!!!

You have to do something that will occupy your mind... Do something you really love doing. I have been in photography the past few months and I enjoy doing it... You can also write stories, depends on what you really want to do. Write down all that you have been wanting to do, then do the most economical one first... When I say economical something that won't cost you any but just your time (like blogging)...

Ayyy I have been reading and reading and reading aside from photography... And watching every movie I want to watch before hahaha!

Shhhh I don't spent watching movies, there's something free of charge ahahaha!

And don't forget to look don't he brighter side, it will make the waiting more lighter...

You should start calling NVC by now. I'm pretty sure they already have your case now. Some April filer with the same date with you, called the NVC already and that NVC received their case. I already called NVC for my case but they said they haven't got mine yet. So we will try again tomorrow for follow-ups. I'm sure it'll be there tomorrow. It's should be there by now or something is wrong.

I did end up calling them last night, they said they received it on Sep 2nd and fowarded it to the embassy on Sep 4th... so Im guessing they're probably getting it today. Just in case, Ive sent them an email already asking if they got our case.

How much proof to you need to take for the interview? I havent even tried to print our chat logs because that would be a book. Not to mention emails and stuff. So I was thinking about just grabbing some random ones from different dates and printing them, plus a few pictures, phone bills, Western Union receipts and proof that he's been here in Brasil. Is that enough? I dont really know how to prove that we're actually going to get married though, because, heck, how do you plan a wedding from so far away? I told him I'd rather save money for another visit instead of getting an engagement ring, and we didnt have an engagement party or him asking my parents or anything. I'm more "practical", hehe... The only wedding thing that I might do before the interview is ordering my dress, does that count as proof?

Well, I'm a librarian, so reading isn't a problem for me....LOL :D My friends are great too. While they dont understand what I'm going through (their husbands and boyfriends life right here :unsure: ), they are supportive and try to cheer me up. Last weekend we went to the lake/beach and I was bummed, being a 5th wheel with 2 couples and they joked and said that we should make a cutout of my fiance and take pics with me and send them to him....hahaha...

I just picked some chats and some emails (the ones I thought could be shared :whistle: ) - and I printed them double-sided. it's still like 1 1/2" thick! I also have skype records, my cell phone bills, boarding passes, ring receipts - a copy of the email where we had a "disagreement" about an expensive ring I fell in love with that was 3 times what we budgeted...LOL.. pictures like crazy. As far as the marriage part, I have emails that I've send my friends, like the one who's going to be my photographer and the one who is making my dress, I had emailed her some designs. Stuff like that. I dont know what else to include. Having only 90-days, everyone is kind of "on-call".....haha. I tried to make 'Save the date' invitations, but...I dont even know what to say! "Sometime in 2008-09" ? Sheesh :wacko:

LOL great! That's good that you have lots of books around you hahaha but I know sometimes it's hard to concentrate on our current life because our mind is running around just thinking about our loved one too far away from us yaaayyyy! I am just thinking time has to run so fast now hahaha!

Glad to hear about your friends being supportive LOL even though they are kind of making fun of you being alone with two couples yaaayyy! hahahaha!

Hi all,

Today I got some good news and some bad news.

I received a notice from the NVC that they had recieved our petition, etc, etc, (YAY good news!!) So to find out what date they received it and when they will send it off I have to call??? So everyone who knows the date received and date left has called NVC?? Now, bad news... the last resource we had for a co-sponser just told me today that she wouldn't do it :( I feel like giving up, like not getting my hopes up because I am afraid he will not be able to be with us :( I know I can't give up, though! I know there are those with worse situations than mine and I have to be hopeful and strong for him, too. But tonight, I am feeling so sad.

Finally I got ahold of someone at NVC! They received it on the 2nd and sent it out on the 4th! :dance::dance: So it's not a huge deal to know the exact dates but on the other hand it really brings peace of mind knowing it could be at the Embassy or very close to it!!

Beta, our timelines look almost identical! I know what you mean about trying to plan a wedding... we set a tenative date that hopefully works if everything goes well at the interview. But it is frustrating to not be able to set something in stone. Good luck ordering your dress... once you figure out which one it is, can we see?? :D

guys...........I cant believe im writing this but WE GOT APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally i can use this little guy

I was getting so stressed with it all so yesterday i didnt check online, i didnt even goon my laptop.....i just went to work and when i got home at night i read a book and went to sleep. I was so sure that we wouldnt get it any time soon that i was going to book a flight o see him for ten days next week!! When i decided today to check my emails and sure enough CASE APPROVED!!

I was so sure that we were going to get an RFE!!

Hey guys, I have a couple question you all might be able to help me with..

How can you tell if your interview location has received you visa application stuff, we received a letter over a week ago from the NVC saying our stuff was heading to Vancouver but havent received Pck 3 yet, and would love to check on the status as we got held up in NVC for so long Im a little nervous...

Secondly, How are you all organizing your stuff for the interview, In a binder or in Folders... I currently have everything organized in a binder and page protected(Yeah I said Page protected im a nerd), but Im not sure this is the best way for the interview. What do you all think or plan on doing ?

I also have the same problem to file for interview and mine one is gonna be 6 days later at 8:30am!! I have heard someone told me that they're gonna unbind everything before we even get in so I just put them in order according the checklist they gave me. Anyone have any idea?

So I'm now having trouble to print out all the chat logs not only cuz we need to run some security check for forbidden/sensitive words. I'm trying my best to deduct as many as I can but OMG it took out 100 pages just for 2 months logs...... :wacko: ( I feel bad for my company). I should of chatted in paragraph......... I really dun think I can get this all done before my interview. God bless me!

guys...........I cant believe im writing this but WE GOT APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally i can use this little guy :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

I was getting so stressed with it all so yesterday i didnt check online, i didnt even goon my laptop.....i just went to work and when i got home at night i read a book and went to sleep. Sept. 01, 2008 --- Touched

Sept. 04, 2008 --- NOA2 Hard Copy Received!

Sept. 05, 2008 --- NVC Received

Sept. 10, 2008 --- Left NVC to USE (Finally!)

Sept. 18, 2008 --- Arrived at USE

Oct. 06-07, 2008 --- Medical Exam (Passed!)

October 12, 2008 --- Our 2 years anniversary

October 14, 2008 --- Interview Date! Pink Slip!

October 17, 2008 --- Visa on Hand! (Finally!)

November 16, 2008 - LAX here I come!

November 16, 2008 - Arrived at LAX

February 11, 2009 --- Packet delivered. The item was signed for by L BOX.

February 17, 2009 --- Notified.

February 19, 2009 --- Check has been in cashed.

April 30, 2009 ------ Biometrics (Grrrr... what took them so long!)

May 06, 2009 ---Card Production Ordered

May 07, 2009 ---Approval Notice Sent
