April 08 CSC filers

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm losing so much patience with this waiting... My anxiety level now is too high! CSC kind of sucks really! I just couldn't understand that some CS filers already been approved 2 weeks ago that are closer to my date. But it seemed they have a weird system that i just don't really understand. Are they processing our papers randomly?

My fiance called few days ago and they said that they will not process any papers this week because it's the "DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION" whatsoever that is. Then they said that they're releasing April 14-18. Argghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... I hate this feeling. It's been 4 months already! I'm just too frustrated right now to feel any happiness while waiting for my NOA2. I just feel like i want to blow up CSC right now. If only I could do that... I hate having so much anxiety... It's a very strong emotion that can ruin anything easily. My mood is just swinging so fast these days that I ended up arguing with my fiance with all this. CSC is just one lousy slow poke center!

I'm sorry guys but I just need to release my anxiety. My sleeping pattern is crazy and my mood is terrible.

Hi I understand how you are feeling... our timelines are most likely the same... me and fiance` make sure we still keep ourselves excited for NOA2 without pressure and stress... Besides, the only fact that we have to accept here is that, when it is our time it will be our time, and that there's nothing we could do but wait until it is our time... Sadly but true... I don't want to blame the CSC people as this is also somehow a game of luck. Well I am trying to believe in luck but I'd rather pray and wait and smile each morning I wake up knowing there's true love waiting for me half way round the world... When will I see my true love again? Only God knows...

You are stressed I can see and I understand... Don't worry too much, your NOA2 is just around the corner and you will just have to wait few more days... Just hang in there, everything will be OK... I can feel it coming very soon... Cheer up and give the world a huge smile, you'll see, the world will smile on you and who knows, you might receive a pleasant surprise a day or two from now Hope I made you smile...

Btw sis I'm going to a desert state duh la---Arizona!!! I'm sure I will be alot thinner once I get there. Our wedding will be held in Seattle cuz I dun want my makeup melt down (I want an outdoor wedding) before I say "I do!" or I can just wear a swim suit! I'm sure my fiance will love this idea so we can save up alot of money on gowns etc (in our culture we will more than one gowns for the wedding party).... I'm trying to look for some nice places in Seattle. Any suggestion??

ohhh Seattle is a very nice place... There would be nice parks (if you want outdoor wedding) Seattle Parks for Weddings. Hope this site will help you find a nice outdoor venue for your wedding and you will also see the fees in here... I have been looking on that site and ohhhh I love some of the places I seen on the link I gave you, like Belvedere Park, it has a fantastic view sis, actually I also like the garden venues there, I just like all the places on that link LOL... Wow I am excited for your wedding... hahaha!

Could the slowdown this week have anything to do with the Labor Day holiday?? Hmm....If they're anything like my local post office, I dont get mail the day before or after holidays. One holiday=3 days of no mail....LOL...

That doesn't make sense... Why would a government agency be affected by a party event? The Democratic Convention has nothing to do with USCIS--it's run and controlled by the Democratic Party, not the U.S. government. Labor Day is a real "stopper" event, but I can't imagine them taking time off for a party event in DENVER. Hopefully this is another example of misinformation!!!

The Democratic Convention has nothing to do with USCIS--it's run and controlled by the Democratic Party, not the U.S. government. Labor Day is a real "stopper" event, but I can't imagine them taking time off for a party event in DENVER. Hopefully this is another example of misinformation!!!

I was thinking the same things...the ONLY thing I could possibly think would be that since it's a gov't agency, they have to a)volunteer for gov't sponsored events like the DNC, or B) maybe they have a booth or event at the DNC, and with a handful of people out of the USCIS office, they have to prioritize what cases get worked on.

Ugh, I want to know the inner workings of that place! I mean, I know that a K-1 (I-129) is one visa out of what? 50 classes? So even this four month gap is bearable. I see people trying to bring their family into America on the processing timelines and they are working on cases from 2001!!!We have to *try* and keep things in perspective ha ha!

On a side note, have a really bad flu bug-doctor thinks I may have picked something up overseas. Have a fever of 103, can't keep anything down, live on Gatorade! Which means I'm home and close to the computer-so when I feel up to it I'm obsessively checking the USCIS website like always!!!

Oh no! The same thing happened to me after I came back from visiting my fiance in June. It crept up on me over a week after being back and fine and out of nowhere....Hope you feel better. My doc recommended lemonade since it has a lot of sodium. Wierd.

You're right tho about keeping perspective - I didn't expect anything until October. But now I'm getting ansty....lol

I'm happy to give my fellow April filers some insight.....there must be at least one adjucator working on cases because I GOT TOUCHED TODAY!!! So excited! Was able to call my fiance 5 minutes before he headed off to work to tell him the good news, and I just started to cry! (It's probably a mixture of *something* happening with our case, and having no energy whatsoever due to my stomach flu!)

I told myself after I checked my regular mail that I wouldn't check the USCIS website until after 5pm, when the office closed for the day. I lasted until 4:30 ha ha!

Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On August 27, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

When I clicked on the reciept number and saw that we were approved, I seriously screamed (and then realized that with my stomach flu, screaming really hurt my tummy!) I called and left a message for my fiance, and I started to sob! Glo, now I know how you felt! It's like this big wave of stress is gone (for now)!

Jeffcloe, you are next! I FEEL IT!!!!

Let's keep on updating this thread with news! I want to know how the next leg goes on everyone's journey!!
