Cassandra, basically it takes about 6-12 months.

The this is you should not worry though, because many get out before 3-4 months and an "average" is really not a good estimate because every case is unique. Hearing 6-12 months makes people feel bad, I know I felt terrible but now still going on nearly 10 months without visa, I understand that it can take that long. Again, do not let this discourage you, becase your time may be significantly shorter. Write to your congressman/senator and ask DOS for an inquiry if it passes 4-5 months. Pray to God to help you on your hardest moments and GOD will always bring a smile to your face.

Tammy

AP: Over 1 year.

Visa: Nov 2

US Entry: Nov 13, Alhamdulillah.

I know how frustrating AP is because there seem to be no rhyme nor reason, but in this case, I am not sure how helpful the poll is going to be. AP averages vary greatly from one consulate to another even with in MENA. Even the average of one consulate cvaries over time depending on work load.

What might be the most helpful is to use the timeline search features and narrow the search for the consulate you are going through.

Good luck and keep in mind, that no matter how impossible this process is, there will be some resolution. (F)

What Tammy said.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Ours was 3 weeks.

"True freedom and the end of suffering is living in such a way as if you had completely chosen whatever you feel or experience at this moment. This inner alignment with Now is the end of suffering. Is suffering really necessary? Yes and no. If you had not suffered as you have, there would be no depth to you as a human being, no humility, no compassion. You would not be reading this now. Suffering cracks open the shell of ego, and then comes a point when it has served its purpose. Suffering is necessary until you realize it is unnecessary." Eckhart Tolle
