Mailed off our AOS package today with a fee waiver request. Tomorrow and Friday we'll be in the Seattle area looking for an apartment, as we've decided we'd better move before we're completely broke. Wish us luck with the apartment hunt and the upcoming job hunt I'll have for something to pay the bills with.

Good Luck in Seattle. Definitely jealous if you can pull that off...

Thanks for the vote of confidence. :P

We found a place in Renton and so long as everything goes without a snag, we're residents of Renton WA beginning August 31st. :o Our AOS app arrived at the lockbox today. Hopefully we find out if our fee waiver goes through soon. If anybody needs one, it's us!

Congrats to Kirstin & Jeremy. That's awesome news. Best wishes on the interview when it arrives. I'm still hoping we're among those who get waived an interview.

Good luck Erin&Johnny!!! I hope you get your approvals very soon!!

Did you put specific dates down for your travel?

We're looking at the Ap document... Do we need it, we have no travel plans etc but thought it would do to have it just in case there's an emergency back in the UK and I have to go back?

Once I have the GC can I travel without the Ap document?

We just got the physical APs in the mail yeterday. There are no specific dates on them. I'll have to give them a closer look this week. We won't need them until next June but Jeremy will take them with him anytime he travels by plane just to avoid any problems. We also don't think that we'll ever use them because our AOS appt is next month. Assuming we pass the interview he'll get a GC and never have to use them. so i think it's up to you and Nick.

My son and I have AP's and you dont need to put in any dates if you dont know them. I wrote that I needed it in case my Mum or Step-Mum in particular became sick (as they have medical histories) or if an emergency arose and I needed to get back to the UK before I received my GC.

Yes, once you get GC you dont need these documents, just the GC.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your forms.

ErinandJohnny:- It took us about 3 weeks from biometrics appointment to RECEIVE the EAD, so it should be anytime soon for you from my experience.

Not really neccesary to put specific dates..and yes the GC takes precedence over the others. It would be the same with the EAD, the AP & EAD "generally" come first because it takes longer for GC approval.

Subguy - I see that they lost your medical records too!!! Wow this is happening quite frequently isn't it? I can't believe these people have such difficulty keeping medical stuff together. When we give it to them at POE it's not as though that is the only info that they get, my folder looked as though it held loads of info.

Glad to see that you managed to sort it and are back on track again.

THey should just let the petitioner keep the medical papers at POE because this keeps happening. We are probably less able to lose it then them...grrr people...

on a good note our AP got approved today hopefully the EAP is soon to follow...then the greencard...things are finally moving along again...
