Are any of you planning a honeymoon yet? If so, where are you going?

We're talking about doing an NYC elopement followed by a few days in Napa Valley, or possibly doing the honeymoon before the wedding in Milan or Paris, then eloping in NYC. To save money on our awesome British photographer (who is willing to fly to NY, but at a cost), I'm half tempted to bring my dress to Paris/Milan and have a nonlegal ceremony with just us 2 and then do City Hall in NYC on the way back. I know I've heard that mock weddings can be frowned upon due to what does/doesn't legally constitute a marriage in that country- but it's not going to be religious so it can't be legally binding that way, we won't have an officiant and we won't have guests to witness it aside from the photographer. Plus, we'll be legally married within the week.

I think I'm just getting desperate at this point, since all our plans came to a hault. Do you guys think this is playing with fire?

If you're going to Napa Valley... why not elope there? There's no 24 hour waiting period like in New York. I highly recommend

enchantingelopements.com -- Used them for my previous marriage. It was the wrong guy, but the place is GORGEOUS, the minister is so sweet and funny, and the pictures are great. Lovely package and experience.

I'd love to, but Sebastian insists on flying through JFK so he can try and get his temporary work authorization. There aren't many flights from London to San Fransisco that stop through JFK and the ones that are cost nearly double. Sigh.

So happy!!! Interview date is scheduled for 1/29!!! So so freaking excited.

Jeremy and I are planning to go to Hawaii in September for a honeymoon, thank you for moving to the US, sorry you don't have a job/EAD, sorry your savings are dwindling, i love you, drink this mai tai, happy birthday trip! We're looking at a 7 day cruise.

Napa Valley is in my neck of the woods. I'm considering a wedding there in 2010. Napa is gorgeous and Jeremy and I love our wine :) If you do decide to come out here, let me know if you need some advice on places to go or things to do in the Bay Area.

As for a non-legal wedding ceremony, I'm scared to do anything that'd piss off immigration or make them look at me with increased scruntiny. I guess the USEM in the UK isn't all that strict so maybe you should go for it. As long as it not legal I guess its ok.

Jamie and I will go to Hawaii for our honeymoon :) Can't wait !!!

I have a question for you... I don't want to be rude if some italians from Milano are around... Do you know Milan ?

If not and if you have to choose between Paris and Milan just SKIP Milan.

I went to Milan for the Chili Peppers tour and was very excited, but I can tell you something, this is really not a beautiful city...

The good thing was that Milan is the place where I met my love :)

Cool Kiristen ! It means that Paris is fast, and it makes me happy !

yes we sent them back with our pk 3 so I would assume its the same for all the embassies

In France you don't have to. You just have to send the DS230 partI and the checklist.
