Hello my friends, Jamie called the NVC yesterday. The lady said that they are very busy and they try to go as faster as they can. My case is still at the NVC but might be send to PAris before the end of the week :)

I also received the affidavit od support I-134 from Jamie. I put this post on the general embassy forum but maybe you guys can help me with what you know :

Hey guys !

I just received a package from my man with the affidavit of support and all the documents I will need for my interview.

I just read it and I need your help :

- Question 8 I have previously submitted affidavit(s) of support for the following person(s)

He replied Juliette Dumont (me) in july 2008. He put an affidavit of support with our 129F petition in july 2008 cuz' it was supposed to be faster.

But it was for the same person and the same K1 visa, I'm scarred that they take that for 2 affidavits, so not enough incomes.

- Some of his documents (employee letter, bank statement etc...) are copies, is that ok ? The I-134 is notorized

Thank you for your help

Juliette

The bank stuff we have was really hard to find and Shannons bank point blank refused. The co sponsors bank was a little more accommodating and faxed through all the info we needed so we dont have "originals" so to speak. Just remember you need two copies of everything evidential. Hope that helps a little?

Thank you for your help

I was pondering the same question a while ago. Look here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry2493285.

Can anybody who's been to the actual interview share their experience as far as I-134 supporting evidence is concerned? Did they even look at it? And if they did, did they request duplicates of everything?

Keep in mind, that we will have to do I-864 for AOS application anyway.

what evidence do we send in with form ds-156k for evidence of engagement to fiance????

I am at a loss and my head is POUNDING...

I just want this DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Send your follow-up letter of intent to marry, and then make sure he's bringing pictures of your last time together. Other than that, you should have him bring something with recent dates on it (don't overdo it - a few pages should be sufficient) -- call logs, letters (the envelope that has the postmark too), etc.

There's some people on here that use a program to export Skype call logs. If you're interested in using that as your proof, I'm sure a simple search on VJ for "Skype call log" or something similar will find what you need.

Don't stress on these forms! You're close to the end of this stuff.

umm...what is the follow-up letter of intent to marry??? I dont think they request any evidence in johnys packet for ds-156k...but im not sure....

Appointment letter arrived in the letterbox today...could the paper they print that on be any pinker?? Sheesh...He cracked up when I showed him that...

YAY awesome!! Congrats...

And to Shannon and Nick, I cannot wait to see that baby!! Good luck to you both!

So Johny got his med exam on tuesday, FINALLY! and he picks it up next tuesday. Haiti is different though because u cannot send "packet 3" out until he has his medical results back. He has to send the results with everything from packet 3. I told him to get his med exam done last week...it would have been better but oh well...Man I just want an interview date at least we will have a date to look forward too and know about when he will be coming home...Haiti can take anywhere up to two weeks just to give u the appointment date and then another 2-6 weeks after that for your interview...i hope it is on the two weeks range cuz i cannot image waiting another 8 weeks total...i guess we will see...

What the question means is if you have filed for someone else before...meaning if you have brought someone else here in the past. In my case I answered yes because I had filed a I-130 before for a completely different person. You may have turned in the I-134 when you first filed but when you have your interview this is when you will be submitting it for the first time. So if Jamie hasn't petitioned for someone else in the past the answer should be no.

OK, Nick! Please tell them that VJ community really needs a clear answer to this question! :D

Russian Embassy doesn't require a follow-up letter of intent, so we are not doing it.

Hey Juliette (it's Shan)

We were in sort of a unique situation in that our lawyers really messed everything up. In our original petition I did not submit an I134 - the lawyers just took one from my mom and put me down as her dependent. Just one of the infinite problems we've had.

That aside, our thinking for how I filled it in was this... first we went off the example forms on here - in which spot they list "none".

The wording for the question about having submitted an I134 before reads, "I have previously submitted...." but the wording for the petition question reads, "I have submitted..."

So we took the I134 question to mean that they want to know if my cosponsor or I have ever submitted an affidavit of support for someone else.

Whereas for the "I have submitted a visa petition..." question we did put his name in and also indicated on the line, as per the example, that it was the current petition.

I don't know if that makes ANY sense  but I hope ya kind of got what we were thinking!
