The number is in the NOA1, ask for it to your husband.

Then follow the following secuence

Call the 1-800 number.

Option 1,

Option 2,

Option 2,

Option 6,

Option 1,

ENTER I129F (K3) receipt number

Option 1,

Option 3, Wait for "If our system"

Option 4,

this will connect you to an officer

1-They only provide information to the petitioner, so if his mother calls she is not going to get information from them, nor even you that are the beneficiary. I was mad when they told me that. Maybe your husband can call during lunch time.

2-You are not out of the timeframe. They will tell to him that you both have to wait. California Service Center is approving December filers now.

Good Luck

Hi Bevs, ganun talaga. We filed Dec.27 pero mas nauna pa na-approve mga January Filer kesa sa amin.It depends on how your fiancee filed the petition.Yung ibang January filer na-approve sila after 2weeks na ma-received case nila, samantalang sa amin took 3 1/2 months na-approved.Kahit patawagin mo fiancee sa USCIS,ang sasabihin lang nila is "Just wait for your case turn".Ako nga before,I always check yung website ng USCIS to check kung anong status ng case namin hanggang sa I'm tired of checking.Naghintay na lng kami, then after 3days,inaway ko fiancee ko,sabi ko tawagan nya USCIS uli, then he told me,even he will call, the first thing that they told him ganun pa rin sasabihin, dahil gusto nya ako pagbigyan,He was about to call USCIS ng nakita nya na may nagshow na "You have received from CRIS sa messenger nya" Then he called me to tell me that we are approved.Ang saya-saya namin nun.

So just hang in there, you will get your approval soon.I expect within this month,ma-approve na kayo.Good luck.

To check the latest approvals from CSC (vj members only), pls check Igor's list:

http://cse.ssl.berkeley.edu/igor/vjdata/default.aspx

To check published processing times of CSC (their site says they are working on December 18, 2007): https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/Processtim...eviceCenter=CSC

as of late, CSC is approving January and early February applicants.. those who have filed after you who have been approved would most likely be the ones who filed at VSC. VSC is known to be the faster between the 2 USCIS centers which is unfair because applicants in both centers paid the same fee.

YMR is a VSC filer who filed december of 2007 and who is still waiting for NOA2 herself so she is not immune to the frustration that you are feeling, she understands you completely and much more since VSC has approved some april 2008 VSC filers already while she has been left waiting :( .

Ideally, it should be first come, first serve basis but that is not really what is happening. There are even people like estadia who have been waiting for NOA2 for a year already... i was lucky to have filed at VSC, and lucky also to be approved in less than 2months but my heart honestly breaks for all those who have to wait really really long. :(

if only we could find the right answer to your question and if only we could find a way to change the way they do things there at USCIS. Countless applicants have tried calling USCIS thousand times, some already wrote their representatives and even senators just to ask help with immigration process... but unless your application is already 3months beyond the USCIS published processing times, even calling senator will not help. they will only tell your senator that they are still working on december and blah blah blah and that you just have to "WAIT".

The agony of waiting is indeed a bitter pill to swallow but as has been said many times over, there is no rhyme nor reason to the order in which USCIS approves petitions.

if this could help, pls try reading this Q&A with a former USCIS adjudicator to understand a little about the process and why some applications gets approved faster than others: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...dicator-q-and-a

My heart goes out to you and to all those who have been waiting for a long time. Pls do stay strong. Just think that everyday without your love one is also a day closer to being with him permanently. He is your real prize and when the day comes that you will be together, all this waiting will be worth it. Continue holding on to hope and have faith that in God's perfect time, your NOA2 will come.

I will hold you in my thoughts and prayers. (F)

hello guys, just wanna shared that hubby called USCIS last friday and he able to talk to a nice lady about our case, that said "u should get a notice in about 2 weeks if not she said "call back". now i feel better, atleast i know whats going on and what we need to expect. also we follow some tips on calling, i forgot who posted it. i just hope they dont noticed it that we here are having same format of calling. lol for me this is a good news though when i check my case online we didnt get update yet.

does they say it for real or are they just saying this to make us feel better or they just avoid a long talk or Q and A w/my hubby?

i admit it make us happy to hear what the lady said.

for those who is waiting for awhile already give it a try to call. wish us all GOOD LUCK.

thanks for reading.

Call 800-375-5283, then hit 1,2,2,4,2,1; enter your receipt number; hit 1,1. (There is no need to wait for all of the recorded options to be read before you hit these buttons.) The recording will almost certainly say that "additional evidence is required," but don't necessarily believe it.

When the phone rings, you should be speaking with an actual Immigration Officer (not a clueless front-line screener who can tell you only what you already know). If the recording said that "additional evidence is required," ask the ImmOff exactly this: "Why does the recording say that I have a Request For Evidence?" He/she will almost certainly tell you that there's no record of an RFE; thank him/her profusely.

Then (or first), ask exactly this: "Will you please tell me exactly where in the Division my file is?" He/she will tell you. Then say exactly this: "I'm aware that several files received after mine have already been approved, and the USCIS website clearly says 'we process applications in the order we receive them.' Will you please send an e-mail to the floor, and ask the person at the ____ station [whatever the ImmOff told you] to please hand-carry the file to the next station?"

The ImmOff will appreciate your "speaking the language," because it is so different from the usual plaintive "do something!" that they hear all day, every day. The e-mail should at least cause one of the processors on the floor to handle your file, and your record on the USCIS Case Status website may soon reflect a "touch."

I more or less followed these instructions. I did select the phone system options that he suggested, but I didn't try to "speak the ImmOff's language". I also didn't imply that I thought there was an RFE for my petition. To me, that's just being dishonest. In the end, I didn't get any information (as the OP suggested I would) at all. I don't know if the touch was a result of my call or not. But, I doubt that it hurt anything. If you do call, it will be interesting to see if you get a touch.

Good luck to you!
