I am so sore from cutting grass yesterday.

I learned alot over the years on how to ask for 'perks' in a job interview. Some people I have worked with have asked for, and gotten, free cell phones, sign-on bonuses, huge guarantees of salary, .... I am usually too timid to ask ...but not this time. I'm thinking a sign-on bonus would be nice.

prob depends on how big the industry is, and how bad they want and need you, dont out price yourself but get what you deserve and consider what they offer as perks

the industry is big..everyone has a floor that eventually needs to be replaced

they will want me even if they dont need me...that sounded kinda snooty and didnt mean to be, i'm just confident in what i do

the money issue has ALWAYS made me mad. I worked next to a man once, and we did the exact same job, in fact I out wrote him most months, I had a $500 a week guarantee (plus commission) and he had a $900 a week guarantee :| That was a few years ago. I don't want that to happen again. If I can get just a little more than where I am now..I will make the change.

so glad the temp dropped here! it was 90 yesterday and 63 this morning

Hey jackie, Do you have a portfolio of some of some of the jobs you have worked on? I remember some of the projects you have had and think it would make you a very desirable employee. Good luck with the interview/ (F)

where's that polar bear draggin his azz across the ice pic when i need it??? i did NOT want to wake up this morning and we'd BEST be getting out early today 'cause I don't want to have to rush around to make the fireworks tonight!!! I need more coffee 'cause I'm grumpy. :angry:

MBP--thanks for that great idea :thumbs: I was always taking pics of projects to share here on vj..lol. Now I can print out some impressive backsplashes to have in a folder for the interview :) thx

Jackie, Im an avid, cream and sugar only, and my sis is all into cooky flavors, well last night she brings home some folgers walnut creme coffee and starts making a pot...the smell was to die for...the taste!! Blaa i felt like i was eating a piece of candy! Flavored coffee is not for me...i enjoy the taste of plain coffee...

I FINALLY have my interview for assistant manager...my big boss kept rescheduling...officially i already have the spot...he just has to do it by the book for HR purposes!! I have to be at the bank at noon and he should be there shortly after...im so excited...

all my fam is going to the taste of chicago tonight...but...not me, its obviously not a place to bring a baby, Im jealous...mmm a frozen chocolate banana!! oh well i have to work til 8pm anyways

Jackie that sounds cool about the new job. anything with less driving is good at this point!

Jen good to hear from you, glad you managed to stay out of the bulldozer path...

(Kelly I am not a big flavored coffee fan either, I dont even really like those flavored creamers but I will use it if its the only thing available...)
