They will keep the original affidavit of support. To my knowledge they will only look at any photographic evidence that you have to show as part of your evidence of a bonafide relationship.

You can find me on FBI

The Consulate took my original Affidavit of support .The interviewer officer told me that she will enclosed the affidavit to the brown envelope that I am going to give to the immigration officer at my port of entry. As for the photos she only look at it and return it to me after my interview. Make copies of all the documents that you have to bring to your interview.

 Good luck to you!

Didnt even look at my photos or ask for any evidence whatsoever. I was really disappointed LOL Especially seeing as I'd gone to the trouble of typing out labels and filing everything LOL :D

My fiance (now hubby) sent me Affidavit of Support before my interview and that's what the US Embassy took during my document screening process.

Good luck!

Oh & for the OP, they did took the Affidavit of Support with all it's additional documents but never even bother to look at the photos. They even returned the evidences that we sent with the original K1 application.

Ops I'm sorry I didn't realize you're doing IR-1. Maybe somebody else with the same experience could help answer your question better.

Best of luck! (F)
