that's why I make a promise to my wife that I will call everyday.. we may not see each other on webcam (even have 2 webcams set up for this purpose on two computers), but we WILL TALK everyday no matter how busy I am.. we have been on the phone more than a couple of hours everyday (lucky for the Skype unlimited plan now).. ever since we met about 4 years ago.. who can say they kept to their promise? =)

Talking or sending email inquiries to NVC operators doesn't seem to do anything. The only thing the operators can do is to read the status that comes up to their computer system. I sent 7 email inquiries in the last couple of weeks, and got no response. :( It has been extremely painful to be separated over for two YEARS since our honeymoon. The first year was for my career, but the second year of separation wasn't my decision. Since the first year of separation was so tough than we expected, we decided to get together, but we didn't know the visa process would be like this. The USCIS took 4 months only to receive our I-130 petition. When our I-129F and I-130 petition got approved, we thought we could finally get reunited soon. But two months later, I am still waiting the NVC only to receive the approved petition.

We both are almost sick now. Especially, my husband goes through the most critical and toughest moment in his life. He said he felt like there's nobody on his side, and even the only person (me) he thinks really cares about him is far away. I feel so bad that I can't be with him to support him there. He was always with me when I needed him, but I don't/can't. I am trying hard to calm down. That's all we can do, right?

I hope we all here in this form get together with their loved ones soon.

they actually have an AUTO RESPONSE that helps nothing at all. :(

I guess there must be a hault at NVC in general. People all over the forum are complaining about being approved and still their cases are not at NVC. Maybe we should get a table or a spread sheet started so that we can get an idea of dates and how long people with the K3 are taking to get to NVC after an approval.

We waited 2 years for an approval just for the first part (I129F). I know a few others like dohbee and Gogo who are still waiting. Sometimes I think that waiting 90 days before I start complaining is better. After waiting for 2 years 90 days seems ok. Heck we got approved June 12th, so hopefully time will go by fast if we dont obsess about it. At this moment Im just happy to be approved. I still cant get over it. Im so happy about it I dont want to stress about NVC. I guess Im still soaking the approval in after waiting for it for so long. Gogo and Dohbee Im really rooting for you and hope that you can get your approvals soon so that you can join us at NVC and we can wait together to be sent of to our respectful embasies.

yay.. 60 more days for my lawsuit to hear back from USCIS.. I bet they will come up with more excuses and "rules" to protect them...

Our I-129F case was approved on 05/05/08 by the USCIS.

I've been married to my husband (U.S. citizen) for over two years,

but we are still forced to live apart due to this snail-paced visa process.

Although our case was approved 8 weeks (57days) ago,

the National Visa Center still says that they haven't received it.

Our I-130 petition was approved on 05/06/08, but it hasn't been received either.

I have talked to NVC operators every week, and my husband talked to the USCIS operators twice.

I believe our case is either missing or buried somewhere at the NVC office.

NVC operators didn't provide much help. They only repeated that I had to wait up to 90 days.

I went to the U.S. on B2 in January and stayed with my husband about for three months.

Although I could stay for 6 months legally, I came back to wait for K-3.

I liked to follow the rules of US immigration system. That's why I voluntarily came back to my country.

However, I feel like I am being punished for following the rules.

Is there any way to make the NVC to search for our case?

Man I feel sorry for you, but you have to know that USCIS is like that monster in the horror movie: by the time you think it's dead, it sure as hell stands up again and starts tormenting you....at least two or three more times. Even when it's finally destroyed and dead, the grave of the monster may start moving or you might see a hand coming out toward the end of the movie....prepare for the sequel. You're almost at the end of the journey, I think the hardest part is behind - killing the monster the first time is always the hardest. Ask any horror movie fan :) or VJ member :). I watch quite a few of those movies lately as to see that things could be worse than they are in my own life....

This sucks more than anything else has ever sucked before.

An October 2007 I-130, I-129F filer.

...

Should've played the Green Card Lottery instead - it's less random and more reliable.

I suggest having your US Significant Other call the USCIS misinformation line and select option 1 for approved petitions. This got me past the the CSRs. When I called the required waitung time was 30 days.

I know what you are feeling, we also waited a very long time, I haven't seen my husband in 1 year and 6 months... I feel exactly like you, but the only thing is that my husband country is in Turmoil and I had to cancel my trip twice to go and see him because of the Violence... So you see Life can be hard for some... And I feel for you, be happy you got Approved!!! I believe perhaps your case might be in USCIS mailroom. That's what happened to us, we were in the mailroom for 1 month before we got to NVC. Get your husband to get his congressman involved and make an inquiry to USCIS about it. NVC usually input its into their system once they receive it in their mailroom....

I wish you luck!! And think positive and bring good enegry in, not bad!!

Good Luck

Nita

PS.... I am also praying for you GOGO....Come one Approval!!!

same here approved 5/30/08 but until now no hard copy recieve.Called uscis saying they sent to nvc.Calling nvc then they said they dont have the file yet. :crying:

*sigh* NVC and USCIS are really disappointing us. I mean I know they're processing a lot of papers but it's just not right that those people who were ahead of us got there NVC letters while us earlier than them still hasn't got any.

They're being unfair you know.

I'm trying to be calm and relax and just keeping the faith but still I can't help it not to be frustrated. I do understand your feelings Lea. Let's just pray for the best. I wonder how you managed to handle yours since it's already 2months. I think I'm going to get crazy with that too not just me but also my fiance. We're really sick and tired of waiting since the start of this processing. *sigh*

Let's just pray. That's all we can do I guess.

till then

My fiance called up the director's office last Wednesday - July 02.They said they would call back my fiance the next day but my fiance's been waiting for whole morning since they would call back next day morning. I'll wait for update next week. I hope there's an update.

Let's just pray. There's really nothing we can do now but just wait and pray.
