I-129F packet; what needs to be notarized, and how?

I'm assembling the I-129F packet for myself and fiancee, but may have run into a problem.

I've read that some of the documents should be notarized, such as the Letters of Intent to Marry, should be notarized. This isn't a problem for me, the US citizen, but it is for my Croatian fiancee. Apparently, documents in English can't be notarized without a special court translator, who then translates it, notarizes the translation, and then you must submit both; which I assume would confuse anyone.

Can the letter of intent for the foreign spouse be written in their native language and notarized there, and a non-notarized English translation be attached, or... how is this to be done, if it's supposed to be notarized?

What other forms in the I-129F petition should ideally be notarized?

The only thing that needs to be notarized is the I-134 which is needed at the interview stage.

An original signature is all you need on the documents for the petition.

You don't need anything notarized to submit with your I-129F. Just make sure all signatures are originals, and you will need the I-134 notarized for the interview.

You will also need to show the originals at the interview of all the copies you submit with your I-129F.

Great answers. Thanks, all. And yes, I'll stop reading that other site. I guess I should've known when I got a forum mail from there saying to come HERE, saying that the other one "isn't a very good site."
