Anyone over a year still waiting?

I know there are some.. some longer than me.. :crying: I read up on the news everyday and today I see this:

I also see lots of "immigration news" and it makes me sad to see no one cares...

all these people who think they have "rights", and are yet here illegally.. while people like us do it the right away and don't complain as much.. (they hold rallies for illegals, while we just 'complain' to our senators, congressmen).. I want my wife here now.. Everyone is not fair to me.. Even though I went back last month to visit her, it is just not the same.. I always tell her not to worry and that we will get approved soon.. have a wonderful family together and I can show her all the wonderful stuff in the world (for example, she hasn't seen snow before , that would be so wonderful)... yes, there are people who have never seen stuff we take for granted before.. to see her playing the snow and possibly making a snowball to throw at me.. that is the best feeling ever =)

I feel your pain dude, this whole journey has sucked for me, my nerves are gone, I've grown to hate the system. I am at 7 months and you are over a year, I cant imagine how you feel, but I respect you for being patient and trying your best to bring her here. Did you ever think of dumping everything here and living in her country?

haha, yes, I'm on a deadline (in my signature).. =) yeah, I'm using my last "hand" in the game now... the lawsuit (writ of mandamus).. the federal complaint has been sent in now and 30-60 days (hopefully) I will hear an answer.. well, that is still before my deadline I have set.. the only thing I would lose is my government job (haha, a lot easier way to make money than working in China).. that's the only thing I regret (not having a stable job for our future family).. but even this didn't work as an expedite reason for me.. even the "USCIS error" (over processing times) didn't work.. I guess they don't like people blaming them..

you should be able the right time to get approved now.. usually it takes 6-8 months (well, those special ones that get approved in less than 1 don't count).. I still don't know why they don't do things in order.. =(

and for those who don't know about me, I did the congressmen , senators, ombudsman thing (sent to over 100+ people, even received FBI letter stating no security checks)..

how are you holding on, jonbless? I think there are a few others waiting so long.. have you decided to do a WOM yet? From what I see, that is the only way.. did you read up on my last infopass experience and the ####### they gave me?

they said:

1) I filed wrong (I-130/I-129F), only suppose to file ONE.. I said the I-130 was for CR1/IR1 and I-129F was for K3 visa.. supervisor was laughing at me the whole time, like I didn't know what I was talking about..

2) security guard came over when I got mad at them.. he continued to laugh and said "don't do that again".. security guard said "don't raise your voice or we will kick you out"..

3) they told me whenever you create a SR or congressman inquiry, they take your case out of the line and put it back at the end... for example, you are 2nd out of a line of 100, they take it out to reply back to the service request, and then they put it back at the end of the line again.. that's what both the officer (first person) and supervisor told me... :angry:

4) and a few other stuff... saying I was still under "additional processing" (even though I had letter from FBI stating no security checks on my case)

5) according to them (local office), they just received my case in May 2008... haha, I have the online case status showing they received it last November (November 2007, originally when they told me I had security checks).. the FBI letter I received in March 2008 was because of my letter to the president in January 2008...

Before my fiancee and I decided to file for a fiancee visa, we first thought to try the visitor visa out. That way, she could have a visa within a couple months and visit back and forth, and we knew we were going to marry a couple years down the road anyway, but didn't want to rush anything. Anyhow, we filed for the visitor B2 visa last March of 2007 and we were denied. Then we filed again in June and were again denied at our July 2007 appointment.

...So we went ahead and filed for the K1 in September of 2007. She will not get approved until December of 2008 due to a medical dilemna, it will be 1 year and 3 months from the filing date.

,,When I first filed I never thought I would be one of the couples who had to wait over 1 year for the visa! Oh Well, It is not that bad

I think it is that bad, I dont know how your marriage can work if you dont see your spouse? I dont think I could handle waiting over a year. But thats just me

I visit her every half year.. last time was in May 2008 and my trips get longer and longer too... took a 2 1/2 weeks vacation this time.. and next time will probably be end of year (Thanksgiving or Christmas) ; plan about 3 1/2 weeks this time..

I petitioned my wife in February 2007. Lots of ups and downs along the way. We will hopefuly get an interview date tommorow after waiting 2 months for medical clearance. So almost 1 1/2 years for us, don't let something you cant control take control of your emotions. Be strong!

Gogo... are you serious about the points you mentioned? That is just crazy!!!! The process for a K-3 specifically states to file and I-130 first, wait for the NOA1, and then file I-129F. These people can't even follow or understand their own process? There is no more hope in this world!!

As for the congressional inquiry putting your petition in the back of the line, I hope that is bull.... People have the right to inquire and check up on their case. It doesn't give them the right to put your petition int he back of the line. They can't punish people for checking and ensuring that things are working as they should, especially for something as important as bringing a spouse to live with them. I hope the guy was joking with you.......

I talked with him (supervisor) and the woman (officer) before.. they had said that I inquire too much.. from the time I filed in April 2007 to December 2007, they said I called over "12" times.. well, I wouldn't be calling if they did their job.. most of the calls came after the 6-month time too.. yeah, all the stuff was real.. so this last infopass was really disturbing.. well, I'll let the lawyers handle the lawsuit then.. I guess calling their 1-800 number is of no help, and also their local office infopass is useless too (my chances is that I'll get the same people again next time.. because the guy was the supervisor for the whole "group" of people behind the windows).. I wasn't really prepared this time, so I didn't bring a pen.. I had asked to speak with his supervisor, so he told me to fill out a form ("request to speak with supervisor" form).. I asked for a pen to borrow, and both of them said "no, we can't do that", even though I could have filled it out right at the window.. :angry: that is why I got mad and started yelling this time.. so many excuses and they had my case since last November.. it was just stuffed in a corner or something like that.. :crying:
