I didnt use one. From what I have read on here, they slow you down and mess things up more than if you do it yourself. But only do it yourself if you have the patience, discipline, and confidence to do it yourself, which with posting tons of questions on this site, you should be able to :)

As MrsDarby stated, it can seem quite overwhelming. We had started looking into it ourselves and had almost decided to hire a lawyer. As luck would have it, Danette found VJ. After reading through the guides and FAQs, it did not appear to be so difficult. The people on here are as helpful, for the most part, as you will find ANYWHERE. As most have stated, UNLESS you have already had some kind of immigration issue..ie: overstay, criminal record..etc... it is well within most peoples capability to do on thier own, providing they have the time and patience.
