the jokers at USCIS

Aarrgh, there are a bunch of jokers working at USCIS, indeed.

First, they sent a notice with a hanging sentence and a spelling error, asked us to wait 30 days for a decision on an "expedite" request.

Then, they sent a notice informed us that the expedite request was granted. The notice has a typo error, more spelling error and the wrong receipt numbers (someone else's receipt numbers)!!

USCIS should really be eradicated from the surface of the earth and be replaced!!!

The congress aide sorted this out for us.

The congress liaison at CSC didn't answer the question about the wrong receipt numbers. But, this is an extract of her email to the congress aide:

" When the response to RFE has been mailed and updated as ‘received’ in our systems, you can reply to this email advising that the response has been received and I can locate the file for adjudication. "

It's good to know that our case will go back to "expedite processing" once we sort out the RFE.

Great to know that indeed. Often it goes real fast in general after folks send in their RFE, if we can judge by posts in the forum of the last months. And with your expedite approved, it should definitely be the case for you. Hang in there!

Not unusual for expedited cases to go slower than usual. When our expedite request was approved, we both were so happy only our file did not reach NVC till 2 months after the approval (NOA2 dated 11/20/2007 and case received at NVC 01/24/2008). They just sat on our file for 2 months instead of forwarding it to the NVC (after 1000s of calls and e-mails they told us it was just a mistake and happens).... So much for the expedite

I wouldn't care much about the spelling too. But, quoted the wrong receipt numbers is another matter. It was basically other people's approvals that got sent to our address!

As is very clear from her previous posts in this and other threads, she received approval notices about someone elses visa application.

So that's not exactly in the same league as bad spelling. Entirely worthless for Leah and her husband and also very annoying (try and imagine (finally) receiving an NOA2 and then hearing that, oops, you weren't approved afterall).

Of course she is pissed off.
