Stated USCIS Processing Times...

Ok, my wife had her biometrics this morning. The USCIS lady said it may take 1 to 2 years to process the N-400, and that the local office has no ability to change appointment dates.

The USCIS local office processing time news release dated April 22, 2008 says Helena, Montana has a 5 month average time.

Anyone have any input on this?

St. Paul lists processing the N-400 February 7, 2008, we sent in our application March 31. 2008, and my wife's interview is schedule July 17, 2008 when her application should have not even been processed yet. That is 3 months, 17 days from the day we sent in the application to her interview date. We have no idea on the oath but going to request it the same day.

They are moving a lot faster than what they are saying, except for flavaofsummer.
