ok ok....money is important to make sure that the beneficiary wont be a public charge when she gets to the u.s.

i read some thread about being denied at the initial interview due to "insufficient income" but got an approval after the petitioner makes an objection and were able to prove that his financially capable.

would they even consider the beneficiary's profession??

so how much should the petitioner earns to prove he is fianancially stable???

pwede ba tayong mag kwentahan ng mga sweldo at assets ng petitioner dito? ha?? aber??

I'm an independent contractor so I do not get a W-2 or a paycheck. I didn't need to provide this information, nor did I need to provide a "Letter of Employment" but you will want to provide these 3 thing if you receive a paycheck.

Most of what I provided was quite excessive, but I wanted them to know that my fiancee and I are serious and to clear any and all doubts that she may be a burden to the U.S. taxpayers.

I believe what you are trying to establish is proof that you are 10% above the current poverty level. I think it's around 18k a year or something close to that.

That amount or higher should be reflected in your fiance's ITR or any supporting documents as stated under item II of the instruction part of form I-134.

it will also be noted under Q.7 of the I-134. here is a sample of pre-filled I-134: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-I-134.pdf

you can download the current form with instructions here: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-134.pdf

the expiry date of the current I-134 form on uscis website is 4-30-07 but don't worry about it, I used the form for my interview last may 21 and didn't have problem with it. my supporting document was only photocopy of my fiance's ITR.

I hope and pray that you will soon get the NOA2. God bless always. (F)

I think it is 125% of the poverty level.

if the sponsor is the head of the family (1) and he is supporting (1) family member = 2 persons in the family. Therefore, he should have a yearly income of $17,500 to meet the minimum income requirement.

someone correct me if i am wrong :)

I was just trying to get the general idea out there so that you have something to use for research.
