hi everyone,

i went to st. luke's today (june 24) and to my dismay, they declared a special holiday. i was just so disappointed! it's very difficult to take some leave in my work and for me to be able to go to st luke's today, i had spent, 19 straight hours in the office yesterday. since i can't take a leave today, i asked my boss if i can do double shift yesterday so i can finish all the reports, deliverables and tasks i'm supposed to do today. good thing is that, i was allowed to do that, except for the fact that i was so tired. but anyway, my problem is that i want to finish my medical exam tomorrow (june 25), since today was not a success. i'm still thinking on how i can ask my boss' permission that i won't be going to work tomorrow. i have a few questions here, and i know the people here are friendly and always willing to help:

1. is it possible to finish the medical exam in one day? if i go to st. luke's tomorrow at 5:00 am, will i be finish by afternoon?

2. there are some who said that it's better to be at st. luke's at 1pm after lunch as there are less people at this time. should i decide to carry on with the two day ordeal at st. luke's, is it really advisable to come after lunch instead of morning? and for the second day, coming in at 1pm is better?

god bless all of us.

Medical examination is done in 2 days. I don't think the whole process will be finished in just one day since there are laboratory tests and most probably results are completed the next day. It's when the patient knows whether she can proceed to the interview (if there is no problem with the medical exam on the first day).

I went to St. Luke's in the afternoon (1 PM) and went out at 5:30. The next day I went at 2PM and have gotten my result and shots. I was done at 5:30 taking with me my X-ray result and vaccination record.

There will be too many people in the morning. Based on my experience, I advise you to go in the afternoon. I hope your boss will give you consideration on this matter and he will allow you to take a leave. Good luck!

no. not a possibility. I went there early as 3:30am but I was like the 6th person in the line. You need at least 2 days for medical exam. First day is for xray, blood testing, urine test, disrobe section and lastly the immunization interview. The St. Lukes personnel will tell you to go back next day for the results and for your vaccines. Be early for the first day for your to finish early.

hi there! 1 day medical is not impossible if SLEC will cater for only a small number of patients say for example, 10 patients. since there's always a big crowd that needs medical appointment..they wont be able to finish everything in a day. their workload is over their head.

after all the labs, xray, physical examination and immunization review, a doctor will study the collated data and decide if you need another test or xray or you'll go directly for immunization. that final review is ususally done in the afternoon when he/she has the results of everything.

you can go there in the afternoon and will finish around the same time everyone else does. i did what riza do, i went to SLEC a 12.30pm and finished at 5.30pm. a friend of mine went there at 6am and finished 6pm.

i hope your boss will understand.
