Quick Question Public Charge?????????????

hello there vj family,

I would like to ask I USC filed a petition for my husband... i have a joint sponsor which is my sister... i dont have job for 3 years thats why i used a joint sponsor,

quick question guyz, im just wondering about the public charge. can i apply for the free medical without affecting my husband petition? please advise me what to do....

if you apply for free medical under goverment services you risk jepordizing your petition.... Any service that is means tested will be looked down upon at the interview.... It is possible for your S0 to be granted a visa with you not working and your sister as a co-sponsor BUT it will be one strike against u as the consulate will look at the totallity of your case..... if you recieve public benifits it will be 2 strikes against you.. and even with a co-sponsor your risk of being deemed a public charge will dramatically increase....... Best advice is ASAP obtain employment if you can and do not take anything from the goverment that can bite you in the back later on, Good Luck.

REMEMBER just cause you got a co-sponsor doesn't mean you meet the guidelines for affidavit of support.... All factors are considered in being it 1. Employment 2.paid taxes 3. sufficient income 4. what monies if any and how much supplied to you by the goverment. take care
