Hey everyone!!

I'm just getting everything ready for my interview on Thursday and I have two questions.. hope that maybe someone can help me out.

I was looking at Eric's tax records for the past 3 years and noticed that in 2005, he only made about $8,000.00. He said for most of that year, he was working for a company which paid him under the table. His 2006 and 2007 income is above the 125% poverty limit. I was just wondering, will it be a big issue that he didn't make enough money in 2005? He now has a steady full time job and we have lots of pay stubs to show them.

The second question is.. Eric is an electrician, his company recently finished one contract and started a new one with about a week and a half of unpaid time off. He sent me 7 weeks of pay stubs to show his pay but 2 of those weeks are low. Again, I doubt that would be a problem.

I'm not too worried about it.. just wanted to see if someone had a similar situation with the Affidavit of Support stuff.

I don't think that's a big deal at all; 2005 was 3 years ago!! I don't even have Glen's tax records from that far back, I think it just asks for the last tax return... As long as you show that he is currently making 125% of the poverty line and can support you now, that's what matters!!

OH, and of course GOOD LUCK at your interview! You must be very excited :dance:

I am ohhhhh sooooooo excited for Wednesday! My mom, sister and I are driving there and staying the night at my grandpa's house! Gonna be fun! Then Thursday is the big day!!

I wish you the best for your big day Thursday! I would be really really excited also!!! :) I haven't gotten to the affidavit thing yet. I will soon enough, but mine will be odd because in 2005 and 2006 I was married to someone else and that will be reflected on my taxes I am sure. I have the proof of the divorce and such, but yeah... so at least yours is better than that. :blush: Once again GOOD LUCK for Thursday! :thumbs:

you should be fine, I think mainly they will be looking at 2007... and I wouldnt worry about the pay stubs either...as long as hes over the poverty line...you should be good to go..
