Hey all. My husband and I finally got the ball rolling on my I-130. It got to the Lockbox over a week ago and they finally cashed the check and sent out the NOA1.

Thing is he included an expedite request with the application and to my knowledge we haven't gotten a direct resopnse yet as to what they are going to do (he doesn't check his email regularly).

What's really odd is that based on where he's from the case should go to Vermont, but it's gone to California (info on USCIS).

Do expedite requests get sent to CSC? I'm a little confused.

Don't have an answer, but wanted to wish you good luck on this journey. Just be prepared to have tons of patience and not to stress yourself too much.

can't say there is a ton of optimism for ur case to expedited...hope it works out. Sometimes they transfer cases and i think CSC process a little faster than VSC

I think California is processing faster than Vermont so i think all around its a good thing that it went to California. As for the expedite request. I wish you luck with that, they have become far more stringent with expidite requests but i hope it works out for you. Just make sure there is a lot of evidence.

Good luck! Normally requests for expedite get an answer within 5 business days. Since your hubby included the request with the I-130, it will take much longer as the information needs to be entered into the system and whatever else they must do b4 it ends up with a person to review your request. IMO, there is a real possibility that it might not get to that officer for review.. so once you get the NOA1, then have your hubby call in to request it again.

Thank you all for you replies!

Thank you Kitty. An officer from USCIS told him to include the request with the I-130 if he was going to be asking for it anyway rather than waiting and then sending it. He can't call them nor can they call him because he's in Iraq. I'm going to wait till next week and if he doesn't get an email from them I'll call on his behalf. If they got a request even if they are going to deny it they should do so in writing (email).

Hoping for the best and glad to be at CSC regardless :)
