How important are the immunization records?

Benny hasn't been to a doctor in many years and doesn't know which shots he's had. Will he have to go to a doctor before and just have them give him all the shots to be covered?

I think he needs to go to his GP...We have family doctors here... and they should have a record of his immunizatos. most of them are given in the first years after birth and throughout school years. so it doesn't matter he hasn't been to a doctor in a while...

I don't think he would enjoy taking 15 shots when he gets his meddical..lol...and it is not necessary because he got most of them during childhood.

Go to a doctor (preferably the last one he went to) and explain what he needs and why he needs it.

Based on his age, they should be able to tell him what shots he's had (eg. if there was a national immunization programme for X illness operating from the time he was born). Ought to be able to figure out what's needed afterwards.

Not important for the K-1 visa but will be important when trying to adjust status after marriage... If you are unable to provide evidence of vaccinations then they assume that none have occured. In some cases a test can be performed to determine immunities but not in all situations. If he does not mind being a "pin cushion" and you do not mind added costs then do not worry about getting his records.

YMMV
