Medical exam problems

My wife went to AO Mediosina on Monday for her med exam. Went back Tuesday for results. Was told she needs more blood tests and makes her go to a university for more tests. Turns out nothing is wrong. Why did this happen? Scam? Crazy doctor?

Now she has to get up early on Wed and go to the clinic to get her final packet before her 8 am appt. at embassy on the same day. She and I are afraid that if she shows up late (like 8:30 am) they might not let her in.

Any thoughts or experiences with this situation? Will she get in for her interview?

I would not worry overmuch; there will be a bunch of people for 8:30 appointments and she can get in with them. Plus, once the K1-s and K3-s are inside the embassy they have to wait for >2 hours, so I'm sure your wife will have plenty of waiting time left.

I had a similar experience with AO Meditsina - they saw something suspicious on my X-ray and directed me to the central TB clinic for more evaluation. I spend the whole next day there and ended up paying 4000 roubles for immediate CAT scan only to find out that it was nothing more than a dilated blood vessel. On the next day, I dropped the evaluation form back at AOM and on the following Monday, I received my packet.

We can of course suppose that it was their money-making machine at work but I think they are really just making sure there are no medical problems.

I was lucky to have scheduled the medical a week before the interview date.

We had no excuse and were late 15 minutes for our 8:00 am appointment and nobody cared. As a matter of fact, it is the best way to go, to avoid standing in line, because they will let you cut if you come late!
