NVC online payment center down?

Did anyone try paying online recently via this link: https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx

I called NVC today asking for my IIN and the operator told me she would give me the IIN but the online payment system is down. I don't know if it just went down now, or that it was never working?

She said you could try using it but can't guarantee it will work.

I will try anyway, but wanted to hear other peoples experience using the Online Immigrant Visa Invoice Payment Center

I wouldn't beleive the operator... I was told the same thing and 3 days later I paid my IV fee online. What do you have to lose by trying, it won't let you do it if it is not working. Saves a bunch of time if you have forms already filled out.

Received NOA1 from CSC with a date of 8/15/06

I-130 petition approved 4/16/2008 after 19 months.

Got IIN from NVC 5-13-08

Paid AOS fee online 5-14-08, Paid IV Fee online 5-27-08

Sent I-864 forms 5-27-08

Sent DS-230 forms 5-28-08

6-2-08 called NVC and msg says "received all information,processing will take 4-6 weeks"

6-13-08 called NVC, CR1 is complete, sent RFE for CR2. returned to NVC, waitn on result

6-26-08 case complete/approved. Waiting to be transferred to U.S. Embassy in Guangzhou, China for interview date

7-7-08 Petition forwarded to Guanzhou, China. Awaiting interview letter.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking the same thing :D

All you will need is your IIN # , your NVC case # and your checking or savings account bank routing number and account number and you are on your way.

Once paid, It says you wait 3-4 days for the funds to be taken from your account, but it was always the very next day when I paid my fees'..... once the fees are debited from your account, then you can print the cover sheets and send off the approriate forms.

Send off the forms asap... because mine got hung up over a mistake and I lost probably 2 weeks at least.. :blush:

USEM recieved complete case from NVC Aug 8th 2008

paid debros aug 22,2008

Medical Sept 9,10 He passed Thank you God. God is always good.

Interview Date: Sept 29, 2008 at USEM Manila 8:30AM APPROVED!!!

Visa In hand: Oct 2, 2008 yahoo

POE Nov 17, 2008.

Green Card and S.S received Nov 28th, 2008

since it appears you are oversea at the moment.... have your wife send the ds-3032 email to nvc now(read the James Shortcut).... then they will send you the information, plus, it makes things move a little faster.

I got the same response today from NCV, that their online system is down and she would not give the IIN.

So I would have to try again to see if i can the IIN number

I would simply ask for the IIN number. I wouldn't mention paying online. IF they say it is down, simply say that is ok, can I still have the number. Nothing to lose.
