I'm surprised that no one has made a post about Journey's new lead singer Arnel Pineda. He is a Filipino who was discovered on youtube.com by the founder and musician in the band.

This guy is simply awesone. Pinoy Pride Baby.... Yeah!!!

Thank You Sheriff for sharing this Video! This makes me even prouder to be married to a Filipina. There is so much talent in the Philippines and it's great to see a Filipino get a great chance to be a lead singer in a Great Band.... :dance::dance::dance::thumbs:

WOW......NO KIDDING. JOURNEY IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BANDS. EVEN MORE A FAN NOW!

4 september 2005.....relyn and patrick chat on filipina heart for first time

19 december 2005....patrick flies to meet relyn and m'r (son) for first time

24 decemeber 2005.....we are ENGAGED!

25 december 2005....we fly to boracay. patrick and relyn exchange wedding rings on plane....lol but true

3 january 2006....we meet with attorney to discuss annulment of relyn marriage.

(husband absent for 6 years)

20 august 2006.......patrick returns to philippines

21 august 2006......patrick birthday

28 august 2006......we travel to baguio city till september 5

4 september2006....we celebrate in bagiou our 1st year anniversary of knowing each other.

10 september2006.....patrick back in u.s

19 april 2007....back together for another trip

21 april 2007....we travel to province relyn and family are from for a chance for me to meet extended

family. we are there for more than a week.

7 may 2007....return to the u.s.a.

JULY 2007.....annulment sent to judge desk awaiting decision

OCTOBER 2007.........JUDGE GRANTS ANNULMENT......YIPPEE GETTING CLOSE TO FILING I129F

I JUST SAW THE VIDEO. THANKS SHERIFF FOR SHARING HERE. THAT WAS AN EMOTIONAL INTERVIEW THEY GAVE. IT REALLY SAYS IT ALL WHEN IT WAS SAID "ARNEL MAKES ME A BETTER PERSON". WITH WHAT HE WENT THROUGH AND HOW HE GOT TO THAT PHONE CALL, SINGING FOR IMMIGRATION, AND LEAD SINGER FOR ONE OF THE GREATEST BANDS IN HISTORY. THATS MAGIC.

Wow... Unbelievable! Outstanding! I have always liked (and I still do) Journey. I even downloaded their songs to my iPod. I didn't know that their new front vocalist is a Filipino. He sounded just like Steve Perry, maybe even better than him. :thumbs: Things like this make me proud to be a Philippine citizen. Despite all the negativity and the government being a big joke, there are still people there who will try to raise our morale and dignity us Filipinos.

What are you talking about Roy! Im sorry but South Cali is not about to be outdone. This was old news in South Cali too!! :angry: LOL!

I was even waiting and bought their new CD on the exact day it was release on June 3 (plug he he)

The CD btw is awesome. Three disc in there for only $11 at Walmart.

The first CD is compose of 11 brand new songs.

The second is a re-recorded versions (with Arnel) of Journey's greatest hits.

The 3rd is a DVD of their concert in Las Vegas!!

Awesome bargain for any Journey fans. Go buy it!! :thumbs:

We're not from the Philippines but I want to chime in that that Arnel has such an amazing crystal clear voice when he sings!

Earlier this year, my hubby sent me this video of him performing with his cover band, The Zoo. Then I googled some of his other songs and he did a pretty good Sting, too.

What an amazing singer! He doesn't seem to be caught in his own fame, either. Just enjoys what he's good at.
