By the way, with the development of my last post ...Im happy tonight friends here ... We got an email from our lawyer now that has been sent by the NVC in compliance with the requirements needed...that was stated there all the needed papers me and my husband should forward then...Shall i just give a photocopies of eachof the requirements?Or its better if i will give the ceritified copies like my BC ,our Marriage Certificate.how about my passport..i should keep my passport with me right..so i will just send photocopies of it right? And as the NVC letter stated..my name there as an visa applicant is my single name..is that how it works?even we are married already? :o If then..what shall i put in my DS230 as my name..will it be my single name too?I just have a little confusion with this..and I went straight here believing all this questions might be answers with many co VJers here ...Any suggestions or answers will be taken as a big help from u guys...Thank u and Goodluck to all of us!!!.God may bless us..

use your married name as your primary name. your maiden name as well as the name on your nbi clearance as your alias :D

its ok to give them the certified true copy or nso copy of your BC and MC... they will have it at USEM at the time of your interview... for your passport just send them a photocopy of the page where your pic and signature is... :D

Looks like someone may have screwed up on the original application showing your maiden name as the beneficiary and not your married [new name].

my application was also the same... i put my maiden name as primary name and my married name as the alias or other name... the prescreener corrected me but says that its ok since i put my married name as the alias...

learn from my mistake... hehehhehee... try to correct the mistake by making it right in filling up your ds 230 :D a few months more and you will get to see your visa :D

You have to put your name like it appears in your passport...When i had my interview, all my form were with my married last name and the Consuler officer asked me if i change my name legaly because the name should appear like it is in my passport...because the visa is going to be in your passport and the visa should be the same that in my passport.

So the answer to your questions are:

Put whatever name appears in your passport.

Send in originals of your documents. (with translations)

Send only a copy of the bio page of your passport.

Thanks cashel for the attention u gave on my post..The name on my passport is single since i have it since i was single and its far to expire yet so what i did is an amendment for it as married already ..because of saving time to renew it and also for its fee again since its just a one year old passport only...so i still have 4 years to use it so then i decided to do an amendment only..so there my single name and the amendment that tells my name as married name too...is that ok...thanks
