So, i spoke to an immigration officer after trying the RFE thing again. I had promised myself not to try that again but i coudlnt' help it. She was very kind and she did look into my case. She said that my case has not been reviewed. I asked her if she reccomends filing the I-129F and she said very strongly, not to file that now. I asked her to give me an estimate as to how much longer they will be on the July 30th day and she said to at i should give them about 30 days. She said that because they have been processing some I-130 cases here and there according to case that when they are finished with the July 30th date, things should move faster, that i should be patient. She said that because fo the volume of cases recieved that they had to keep it on that date until they were sure it is all cleared up. She again told me not to file the I-129F. She said that it is not worth it to file at this time. I found hope and i have finally decided to just put it all in GOd's hands and let him handle it. I have hope for all of us waiting a long time. Besided, i would rather my hsuband having his green card within 30 days of being here than to have to go through filing a bunch of paperwork all ovre again and paying another set of fees when he gets here. I dont' ahve time for that kind of hassle. I would rather we jsut start our lives together freely than to have to worry about Immigration. Good luck to all of us still waiting.

As much as I want to agree with you I just cant. I cant believe. Their infinite dates are just mindblowing. They are still on July 30th 2007, their FIFO policy doesnt get addressed, no certanties. Somehow I just dont have any faith in anything that goes through them.

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

I completely understand your frustration and believe me i have lots of reason to not believe too. Two and a half years i was stuck in namecheck, waiting for my citizenship to clear. I almost went crazy trying to fix that. Not going through that again. Its' going to happen when it's supposed to and that's that. It's all in God's hands.

After Sept 11th, Congress decided that when you want to be a Citizen of the United States, the FBI has to check up on you. Run your name through their system. IF their is a "hit" which could mean anything and nothing at all. NObody really understands how that work. You dont' have to be a criminal. i was not a criminal. My taxes were paid, never even had so much as a speeding ticket. In any case, if there is a "hit" they have to manually check ot make sure that you are not in their database, so that means they have to find whatever file manually in one of their however many warehouses. They claim that they don't ahve enough resources to do this. you would think that evreything is computerized but its' not. So, there i was stuck like that for two and a half years. Immigration never tells you what's going on. they just tell you that you are still waiting for background checks to be completed. I had to write everyone including, George Bush, ####### Cheney, Laura Bush, both of my congressnan/woman, Director of The FBI pleading for assitance. The only office i think that helped was ####### Cheney's office because they wrote me bck saying that my name check was cleared and 2 months later i was sworn in as a citizen and here i am again.

Did you get a "touch" on your application, MrsRowe?

They can say whatever they want to say. So taking this as good news isn't very useful because of their track record.

That's what I'm guessing -- they didn't actually look at the file. The whole exchange was seat of the pants by the agent.
