Hello to all my Canada Forum friends. I hope everyone is doing well. After receiving my GC in January I haven't been around as much as I was before.

A couple of updates:

- My dad now sends me Cinnamon spread, dill pickle chips and smarties monthly to satisfy my cravings.

- We are going to Mexico in 2 weeks. YAY get to test out returning into the country with the GC for the first time.

- Career is rocking, and we are doing great.

I want to say to anyone who is still pending in the process.... it hurts but it is so worth it. There IS light at the end of the tunnel, don't forget to look for it every single day.

Cheers, love you guys!

hey brad! Happy to see your process went well and you have found the light! I'm also jealous about the two weeks in mexico. Have a ton of fun :)

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Great news Brad!!! Enjoy your trip to Mexico but beware of knock-off Smarties, I hear they use carnauba wax to make the glaze for the outer shell. Oh wait, they use that in the real stuff, oh well.

I remember when you were feeling a bit dispondent only a few months ago, so I hope other people who are still waiting and worrying will take your words to heart.

Hi Brad!!! Lovely to see... your words! Enjoy your vacation!! You sure sound a lot more calmer than I remember! What a wonderful thing! :)(F)

LOL you mean I am not neurotic anymore? I also lost 15lbs.... hmmmmmmm someone may have been a grumpy panda ;)

We're heading to Cabo on a cruise, I think we stop in a couple more places. I let everyone do the planning and I agreed to come with for the tan. I try not to get too involved in trip planning because I am obsessive (not so much compulsive)

I put my last Passion Flake in the freezer! I had brought a bunch of Vachon cakes back with me from my last visit... and the Flake was nearing its expiry date.... so I have frozen it until I can get to it. My husband was very disappointed to find out that the Jos. Louis and Ah Caramels cannot be had in the US. He was like this when I told him.... :o
