My husband and I were placed under Administrative Review on May 17, 2007 in Lagos Nigeria. We were told this could take upwards of 6 - 12 months to complete and they would then call him to return for his interview. As you can see it is now past 12 months with no idea when it will end. I call Senators, Dept of State and email the embassy. No one has any time frame for us. The embassy did state we can process the I-130 still and are praying for the interview on that. Has anyone on here gotten a visa in Lagos after this Review? Any advice you can give would be wonderful.

Hello there,

I know how hard the wait is, it is excrutiating to say the least. You may do a search on my topics if you would like more indept feelings of AP from my part. As for Lagos, it may be because you asked to that consulate that you are not getting the answers you would like, so try going into your portal and see if the people from your home consulate can help you on the issue.

As for what I can do for you, I will say AP really is a hard thing to go through and should not be put on anyone. 12 is a horribly long time. I only wish that we would all get cleared soon and I pray to God that our day will come.

With love,

Tammy

AP: Over 1 year.

Visa: Nov 2

US Entry: Nov 13, Alhamdulillah.

Hello Mrs Balogun

I do know of a person who was in the exact same situation and then the CR1 finally moved along and an interview was scheduled.

This was successful only due to divine intervention. They were ready to deny them or put them back on AP under the CR1 but this person demanded a dual interview, traveled there 3x in a matter of 2 years. They granted the dual interview, interrogated the both of them for about an hour and scrutinized every piece of paper. This would of been another AP or denial situation since they will know the k3 is under AP. It all depends on why you're under AP. They were under AP for speculation of a fraudulent marriage. She had to come strong with a box full of documentation, bills in their names, phone records, about 100 letters from family & friends, photos of all the family even went to visit the village to take more photos. Tons of questions were asked of both of them to see if the info corresponded. This person spent 2 long years not to mention the expense of flying back & forth for interviews. This last interview finally nailed it! It all depends on what's going on with your case. She really had a box full of evidence the last time.

I hope everything works out for you. Be prepared to face the same situation on this interview since they will know its the same couple. try to overcome the issues this time around.

All the Best!
