I hope you stop the garlic a few days before you leave for your trip :) It sort of stays in your system and seeps out of your pores once it has built up in your system (I guess that is the main reason this works on the bugs). As for the brewer's yeast....I LOVE IT. I sprinkle it on cereal, put it in meat loaf, and sprinkle it in all kinds of foods. It has a nutty taste and it is so full of fiber too. It can easily be masked in many foods.

You only need a little . You just have to taste a little worse than the next person for the bugs to not want to suck your blood. I understand the pores thing. The ex used to go on binges of eating garlic fried in butter and I knew when he walked in a room

I can't help but think that in order for a mosquito to know that you taste bad, they had to have bitten you already. Which means that it didn't prevent bug bites? Are we assuming that after they've bitten you they'll tell their friends how bad you taste?

Hi All, I just purchased my ticket for Nov...I cant wait!!!!! Now i need to get my vaccinations. Does anyone know where in Atlanta i can get all my travel vaccinations?

I myself went to the Emory Clinic Travel Well Clinic in Crawford Long Medical Office Tower but, geesh the vaccinations were super expensive..... you can try the health department in your area. It will be a little cheaper than a travel well clinic but, not by much. The only thing I would suggest as they suggested to me but, because I waited to the last minute I had to take them all at once. You can schedule them over a period of time since your trip is in November. That should give you some relief even if you go to a travel well clinic or health department. Congrats on the ticket purchase you sound really excited.

Just a reminder that you should visit this web site before traveling abroad. (below)

This is the tab (link) which takes you specifically to the travel requirements and information for Nigeria. I also registered myself with the embassy before I went, just in case I was somehow lost in the shuffle of it all. It was really nice being able to provide all of the information of where I would be to the government. If there was a family emergency, however, I dont know how anyone could have found me in all of the remote places and villages I visited :) But I always kept my mobile phone charged and made sure I had international service added to my carrier coverage. But then again, there was no service at all in some of the remote places....

Here is the Nigerian site on the travel.state.gov website:

I'm excited for you. I remember what it was like to purchase those tickets to make that voyage over to Africa. Don't pack too much and have a great trip when you go.

Adding......I gather you will submit the petition as soon as you arrive back in the states. I also suggest you take all the forms that require his signature, so he can sign them before you leave. Are you sure you could not possibly stretch it at least another week or at least another couple of days? Hope your countdown until your visit moves quickly for the both of you!!!!!!!
