WOW! I didnt know this topic existed on here but I am soooo glad I found it tonight! I needed to come across this thread! What wonderful Bible verses on here full of hope, love, grace, mercy, forgiveness, and peace! GOD is so wonderful to us!

The Bible verse that has been on my heart this week is this one by Paul the Apostle.

"For me to live is CHRIST, and to die is gain."

To us Christians, that should be our goal in life. . . to live this life for Christ bcz when we die, we gain everything through HIM! He is all the world to us! GOD bless you all for sharing ... keep it going -Tam

Dear Lord, I thank you for this day.

I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God.

You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you.

I ask now for Your forgiveness.

Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude.

Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.

Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things.

Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over.

Let me continue to see sin through God's eyes and acknowledge it as evil.

And when I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth my wrongdoing, and receive the forgiveness of God.

And when this world closes in on me, let me remember Jesus' example -- to slip away and find a quiet place to pray. It's the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will.

Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others.

Keep me strong that I may help the weak.

Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others.

I pray for those who are lost and can't find their way.

I pray for those who are misjudged and misunderstood.

I pray for those who don't know You intimately.

I pray for those who will delete this without sharing it w with others. I pray for those who don't believe.

But I thank you that I believe.

I believe that God changes people and God changes things.

I pray for all my sisters and brothers. For each and every family member in their households.

I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.

I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God.

Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight.

I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth that confesses them willingly..

This is my prayer.

O God my Father,

I thank you that I have opened my eyes to the dawning of a new day.

I humbly pray that as the darkness departs and the light increases, so You will graciously take away the darkness in my soul and increase to me the light of Your loving presence.

I do not know what this day holds, but I ask for Your strength and fortitude to face whatever trouble may come and the compassion to touch all whom I may meet with Your love.

Make me, Lord, a blessing to someone today.

Dear Loving and Compassionate God,

Giver of all gifts,

we pray especially today for the mercy and love You give us.

Open our hearts and minds to You.

A. GOD OFFERS THE GIFT OF LIFE...

1. In mercy God offers the gift of eternal life - Ro 6:23

2. He does this through the death of His Son - Ro 5:8

3. Out of love, God sent Jesus to be a sacrifice for our sins

a. On the cross, Jesus paid the price for our sins!

b. Through His death, Jesus made eternal life possible!

2. Believing in Christ involves more than mental consent - e.g.,

3. A faith which does not express itself in action is a death

REPENT OF SINS...

1. Jesus requires repentance - cf. Lk 13:3; 24:46-47

2. True repentance is:

a. A change of heart which will result in a change of life

b. A change brought about by sorrow for our sins - cf. 2 Co

7:9-11

-- In repenting, we decide to turn from sin and turn to God!

CONFESS FAITH IN JESUS...

1. Together with faith, confessing Jesus leads to salvation - Ro

10:9-10

2. Confessing Jesus means to acknowledge Him as the Son of God

- cf. Ac 8:37

-- Confess Jesus before others, and He will confess us before God!

- Mt 10:32-33

Lord help me to see the poor with Your eyes, not with mine.

Help me to see what You see in them.

I open my eyes to You so that You can change what I feel for them.
