Good morning everyone. Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend. Haven't been posting that much, figured I'd update on what's been going on.

Well...Nathalie never got any calls from the embassy to tell her that our paperwork is there, so we've been trying to call them. Not sure what they are doing....but last week she called in the afternoon...and they told her she needs to talk to someone between 9am-11am. So she called the next day and they said to call back between 1pm-3pm and when she called them..they told her to talk to someone between 9am-11am. She is going to call again today and I told her not to take any ####### from them. ;)

Last Friday she went to the doctors and got, I think, the last of her vaccinations. She got the HPV (HUMAN PAPILLOMAVIRUS) shot also and she said it hurt sooooo bad.

She already got her single certificate and is going back today to get the police certificate.

Hopefully, she'll be able to pickup packet 3 today at the embassy and it'll have more instructions on how to schedule the medical stuff and interviews. It would be awesome if she could get the medical stuff finished up this week and then have the interview next week. Then I can finalize plans for going out there at the end of the month and help her travel back home.

So much to do...so little time. :)

I'm still here! I haven't really been feeling too well. Having one of those down days for the past few days. :( I feel pooped! I think it's starting to really hit me how fast things are moving along. I haven't filled out any of the paperwork for the packet; I'm almost thinking of waiting 'til I get the packet in the mail because that way I can see what it is I need. I don't want to stress myself out for things I don't need. I feel stressed  I had my review on Friday(for work) I can't believe I've been working for the bank for 2 years already! Time flies! I find out tomorrow what my raise is going to be. Hopefully it's a good one.

I went yesterdya to see the movie Step Brothers...It was crazy! AnD Gross! I want to catch that Pineapple express one, that looks funny  .

I hope everybody has had a great weekend and have a great week! First week of August you guys! crazy-fast! I think I'm going to wait until i get the packet to get it ready. Hopefully it won't be too difficult to do. Good luck to all of you guys :) :) :) Caity, I'm sure your NOA2 is waiting for you at home in your mail box!:yes:

Question... i thought you only needed last year's tax return? I don't think I have any before that...if I do, it may be in boxes!?

Aww, sorry to hear that you're not feeling well Maria, I hope you make a speedy recovery. And remember, no matter how hectic these next few weeks are, you are so close now to being together forever, be happy! :D Yes, only one year of tax returns are needed. Just make sure you check the packet carefully to see what your consulate requires.

Thanks for the lesson!..I think I have it now =)

I DID IT!

THANK YOU MANILAIDAHO...

I missed a spot, but I now understand how to do it. This is a monumental thing for me, and I will now go to bed.

Each morning I pray for a productive day. Not only did I get a lot of things done, but I also conquered the "quote dilemma".

Have a great Monday,

Stevi

YAY Stevi, way to go! :D

That sucks that Nathalie is getting the run around like that =( Hopefully she'll get some answers today. Sounds like things are moving REALLY fast, that is so awesome that she could be with you by the end of the month YAY

She did get answers today. The embassy did get the paperwork from NVC...but packet 3 won't be ready for pickup until next week. :bonk:

Fair enough...I'll still have her try to schedule (and complete) the medical stuff this week and see if maybe she can schedule the interview next week when she picks up packet 3.

So, I have some questions on the I-134...

Part of question 7 asks my annual income. Do I put the amount that was on my 2007 tax return?. I'm going to make more this year, I hate to put that number there, but of course I don't know what I made this year until next tax time

And question 11 really throws me off. If I mark "intend" I have to put down some sort of exact dollar amount that I'm going to give David?...that seems really odd. And if I mark "I do not intend" do I have to include an explaination as to why not? What did you all mark this question as? :help:

Thanks everyone!

Hello all :)

I called the NVC today and the lady (I swear it was the same one I spoke with last week!) told me our petition had left the NVC today! My mom also let me know that our NOA2 hardcopy arrived today at home. Woot woot. And I just spent some time looking at what I really need to get together still for the I-134. That´s the only part of the process that sometimes confuses me.

Stevi, I´m so proud of you that you have conquered the quote copying. I will try it soon :)

Take care everyone!

Caity

Hey there,

I have seen many questions asked about #11. If you do a search on visajourney, there are lots of matches. Some put "N/A." Some put "She will be my wife and I will support her forever..." Some put "N/A: K-1 permanent residence"

Some people say that the "Intend" is meant for other types of visas....???

I dont really have answers for you. I havent decided what I am going to put yet. Hm....

The example form on visajourney says "N/A (K-1 visa process for permanent residence)"

For question #7, I'm putting exactly what my employer said I make annually in the employer letter. I make more with OT and stuff...but I figured I'll just match what my employer put down.

For 11, I left it unchecked and put in "N/A ( K1 visa process for permanent residence )" as it did in the example.

From what I've seen, it doesn't appear to be very long at all. It seems if you have everything in order, you can schedule it.

Hmm... so I tried the DHL thing because the NVC told me that my petition was sent off today. However, it seems that the only package that was sent off today was to Guatemala. Could this just mean that no one has actually picked up my package to send yet? Or that it will actually go out tomorrow??? Anyone have any ideas? Or maybe I should not even bother with the DHL thing.....

I put in EXP 01 AUG 2008A as the reference and it showed a bunch of paperwork going to Mexico that got actually shipped there today. It's possible your paperwork got sent out in that batch. This whole tracking deal is hit and miss. If not, try the 4th date tomorrow and see if anything ships to Mexico from today.

Hey Caity, I think maybe you're right about it being for other types of visas, cause it sure doesn't make sense for a K-1.

Hey Josh, yeah..not sure if my employers wil put an annual salary on my letter because I'm hourly at both jobs. So I suppose the total gross income from my 2007 tax return will have to suffice...it's abysmally low =(

And I think I may just go with what's on the example form also, thanks guys for sharing!

Thanks for posting these questions. Although I have all of the other documents completed, I am still completing the I-134. That is the one form I have been avoiding for a few days, but it doesn't look to be too bad.

I am self-employed. I own and operate two adult care facilities, providing care to seniors and developmentally challenged individuals. This puts me into a situation where I will also need a co-sponsor, because the type of work I do is non-taxable, and even though I report my income, I do not pay taxes on it. So, my tax returns only reflect my earnings from my part time/occasional hospital position. That is not much at all. I have all the appropriate documentation, and even statements from my accountant, but all in all, I still need to use a co-sponsor.

Also, I received my hard-copy letter from NVC today stating that they have forwarded the petition to the London Embassy, even though I had already found this out last week. But it was still nice to see the letter. I also called the DOS to see if the London Embassy had received it yet, but of course they told me "not yet." I just thought I would try anyway.

I hope everyone's doing well and I will check in again tomorrow.

We just received this email from CRIS today :

Current Status: DOCUMENT OTHER THAN CARD OR TRAVEL DOCUMENT MAILED TO APPLICANT

On August 4, 2008, your document I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was processed and mailed to the address on record. If you have not received it within 30 days of August 4, 2008, contact our customer service at 1-800-375-8283. If you move while your case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your address.

We got approved last July 22(email) but we dont have yet the hard copy, we already have our new case number from NVC,we're wondering what's this all about.

I was thinking that maybe they've just mailed us our copy of NOA2.just my guess.
