Where's all the action?

Just because we are getting approvals, I hope we don't all disappear from this forum.

I NEED ALL OF YOU......

We are not finished with our journey's yet , and even after interview, and reunion with our loved ones, we will still have lots to do, so let us please not lose touch with each other.

There's the potential that we could all become life-long friends, sharing our thoughts and experiences through SS, EAD, AP, AOS, and the ultimate joy of CITIZENSHIP for our loved ones.

So, let us not abandon each other please.

Ok.........I feel better now

I'm still here. All I've been doing right now is work, work, work, and get on DHL to see where the package is at. Haha. I also need to drive 2 hours away to request/pick up a new certified copy of my birth certificate (I have one, but it's ugly and for some reason I worry that's not enough for the embassy!).

Slowly gathering together materials (can you tell I'm a bit of a procrastinator?), ie BC, pictures, copies of the I-129F materials, and I need to fill out the Affidivat of Support (*sighs*) -- I have asked my cousin to be co-sponsor -- understandably she has some mis-givings about the co-sponsorship, and was frankly surprised if I wasn't making the poverty level (I do make more than the 125% but my jobs are not permanent or stable, and I fear that's what they're looking for... part of me want to say "thank you" to her and just fill out the 1 A.o.S. as myself, the other part of me is paranoid and worried: What do you guys think? Should I just try it on my own, or should I definitely get her co-sponsorship for O?)

It is AMAZING how quickly this process as really gone by. Really. I was not expecting it to be at this stage just yet (going from NVC to Embassy). My honey is enthusiastic as well! I hope they set up the interview really soon (not too soon that I haven't gotten the materials to him yet! ;) ). I plan to send the Embassy an email soon after the package has been signed for there. Yayness.

Hi All,

I feel much better now. My support system is very important to me. Thank you for checking in to say hello.

Kristen, I can relate to the procrastination thing, but in this case, it is my fiance Taiwo's fault. He has to get his police clearance certificate in order. Since he has to submit from two different countries, we wanted to wait in order not to have old certificates. So, now we pray that it does not take forever for the Africa certificate, but it looks like is should not be that long. The UK police certificate is the easier one to obtain. But all is going well.

The NVC just passed it so quickly to the Embassy. After all this time feeling like it all was taking too long, now that time has just literally flown by, it seems so unbelievable.

ManilaIdaho, looks like you are doing really good with getting things together too. I look forward to hearing more from you.

Possum, I think this is the first time I have corresponded with you. I have seen many of your posts, but it is nice to finally connect. Has anyone ever told you that you and your fiance look a lot alike :) On your avatar picture, you look like twins! :) You look like a very happy couple together.

Take care everyone, until later,

Stevi

I'm still here!!!! I had Angel gather all the letters I have written him and all the scraps of the packages I have sent him, so I could start making copies of it for evidence! The only semi-awkward thing is that here in Mexico, you can't just go to a copy machine and make copies of stuff- you have to go to a place that makes copies, and they make them for you. So, I decided I would just take like 4 letters to one place and make copies. Then take a few more letters and go to a different place, and so on. They might think I'm strange if I come in with 15 letters and pieces of packages and ask for copies of all of them! hehe. Wouldn't be the first time someone here thought I was strange though...

Anyway, I plan on calling the NVC on Monday to see if our petition has been sent to Ciudad Juarez.

Had a very enjoyable evening last night. Angel and I went to a cute little outdoor cafe and had some wine (we decided it could be a late celebration of the NOA2), and then went salsa dancing :) My favorite thing to do in Mexico!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Caity

Hi Stevi,I thought of gathering those documents first because here when you applied for it you'll get it after a few working days that's why i have to secure that first so i wont be worried not getting it on time.and I can now fill up those DS forms since we already got our MANILA case number from NVC wee.gifwee.gif

Hi Everyone!

Happy Weekend! :-)

Congratulations Possum!

I'm so happy to see all these approvals that keep coming! We have been some lucky people since I see some people still waiting since Jan....

I started working on getting my stuff together to send to Sid.....I've gotta find my extra copy of the I29F to send him. I did have one question - do we have to send a CERTIFIED copy of our Birth Certificates (the USC?) I see so many different responses?

Caityrose - I LOVE salsa dancing - and how fun to do it in Mexico! I miss Mexico....I really wanted to take our honeymoon down in Playa del Carmen, but since he can't leave the States, we're settling for Vegas - ha!

Stevi - I completely agree with you! It's been great to have such a good group of people to lean on for support and I'd hate to see it all end....l'll be here with you for a looonnnng while yet :-)

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Yayness.

Kristen

Hehe, I'm still gathering materials also, so don't feel bad. I'm taking a trip up to see my Fiance in a week so most of the originals I will be taking to him instead of mailing.

As far as the sponsorship goes. Personally I think, if you make more than the required limit, then you should be ok. BUT, you're right in thinking that they may take a second look at whether your jobs are permanent. So, to be doubly safe, I would reccommend getting a co-sponsor. But like I said, since you DO make the limit, you should be alright.

I myself am in a pickle with the co-sponsor thing. I have 2 potential co-sponsors that havent said yes...but havent said no, and a co-sponsor who is willing, but just falls short of the 125% limit =( I know for sure that I WILL need a co-sponsor and I am hoping for the best..that ONE of the two will say yes. I'm living on faith right now...pray for me all!!

~Jenni~

Hi Jenni. I'm not sure if the BC HAS to be a certified copy, but I do know that the foreign fiance has to bring all originals with her/him to the interview, and they require long form BC's. So, whatever BC you sent a copy of with your I-129F, send that original to your Fiance. Hope this helps.
