You send Jorge the Affidavit of Support Form I-134 with proofs of income like 2007 tax transcript (free from the IRS), recent pay stubs, letter from employer.

No police certificate from you.

He probably doesn't need your birth certificate. Read those reviews from the embassy and see if anybody had to show one besides the person interviewed. You can order another one...certified copy if your dad doesn't want you to send the one you have. Birth certificates are always available, but I don't know the process in WA. I sent mine just in case.

Read this. You are on Step 4, the red one. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...amp;page=k1flow

Juarez graph is on this page. Short processing time! http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...e-k1-historical

You'll calm down eventually and figure all this out. Enjoy the moment and the party :dance::dance::dance:

You are ALWAYS very helpful. And i greatly appreciate your help. I have some questions after that... the 18 day wait, is that for NVC to send it to the embassy? Or is it for CSC to send it to NVC? I'm not sure if you have an answer to this...but it looks like he doesn't need an interview appointment? Is that correct? Does that mean that as soon as they recieve his completed packet 3 he can go in to Juarez? Or do we still need to have an actual date? Every embassy is different. I have read some other peoples' experiences and it looks like they're walk-in....but I wonder if it's a walk in on a specific date range or what not.

Nick- it also looks like your interview is quickly approaching. OMG I bet you are just excited like a bumble bee! Good luck on that!! Soon you will be with your love! :wow:

Thanks again for your help. :star:

Maria--I don't know what the 18 days at Juarez Consulate means (where they get that data), but the point it--IT'S FASTER THAN EVERYBODY. Yipee for you. I looked at some timelines and some California to NVC took a week to get there. Others took several weeks. Wait until next Wednesday and call the NVC. They are open until 9 pm your time to answer the phone

NVC-603-334-0700, press 1 for English, press 5 to talk to a person.

Hours: Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM (EST).

Best time to call is 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM and 10:00 PM to 12:00 PM.(Eastern time)

Don't enter any case numbers into their automated system because K1s aren't ever put in that system. They are just briefly passing through there on the way to the foreign Embassy. You have to talk to a live person. You'll get busy signal alot or the menu robot will keep bumping you about saying there's too many calls. Just hang up and try in 15 min.

Questions to ask the person:

1. Have you received my K1 petition from the USCIS? (You tell them the receipt number from your NOA1- WACxxxxxxx. They will ask your name, Jorge's name and both birthdates to verify you.)

2. (If they have it) What date did you receive it and what date did it get sent to the Embassy? (If they haven't sent it out yet, you can call back next day to see if it's gone.)

3. Can you tell me my new case number? (That's your new Dept of State and Embassy file number. Mine started with LND for London, so I guess yours might be RDJxxxxxxxxx) You will get a letter from the NVC later with that number.

Everybody else on this thread, copy and paste this info somewhere in your notes so you'll have it when your NOA2 comes through.

It doesn't look like he has to wait for an appointment. If you look up there with the Embassy info menu at the top of the page you can find reviews of what people did at their interview. Be sure you look for K1 people, not CR1. Read what they had to say. I read a few and some were rambling, but I got the idea that you don't have to wait for an appointment, but you could wait 8 hours on the day you show up. I didn't take much time to understand them, so you might can figure a few things out if you read carefully.

Yes, Nick's interview is next Tuesday! Very exciting to have gotten this far. Remember our old group on the map I made? Bex already has a visa. Aleena from Romania is on a plane right now to the USA. The waiting doesn't seem so bad now that it's almost done, but we were crazy before NOA2. Good luck figuring your stuff out.

Thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Much for your help Nich Nick! Jorge was about to explode when i told him that he didn't need to wait for an interview date. I'm hoping the shipping of the packets go by quickly! it just gets better and better.

I just got a bill from the clinic for 126.54 :crying: I don't want to pay it! :P I am still in shock that we were approved yesterday. I keep checking to make sure that it is for real!

Josh- have you tried calling the NVC recently? I think you mentioned earlier that they still havent received your packet. Could it be that you are doing the automated dialing rather than actually speaking to a person? Nich-nick mentioned earlier that it is better to actually ask SOMEONE about the case... :)

I sure hope Mexico is as fast as the graph shows. I would LOVE to have my honey bunz here with me !!!!! OMG I am still in shock  oh another thing, jorge finally got his package of e-mails/phone bills and stuff. YAY took 1 1/2 weeks.

I hope every one else is having a good time enjoying their approvals.. CAITYROSE! Yours is on its way!! I'm crossing my fingers for you! Are there any other marchies left?????????????????? It seems like they covered a BUNCh of them between last week and this week.

Yes, I actually talked to someone this morning and they hadn't received the case yet. I'm trying to call tonight, but I guess everyone else is trying to call tonight too...I either get a busy signal or bumped out of the hold queue. I might try calling again in an hour or just wait until tomorrow morning when I get to work.

Can someone please tell me what "Touched" means....

Hehehe, sorry guys still learning all of this.

If you register your case at https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/login.jsp you can login and see the last time your case was updated. Anytime it gets updated, it's called a "touch."
