My girl wants to study in the U.S. (as well as marry me) but she has heard that study / student visa is easy to get. Easier than tourist or even K1. She has a friend who just got to the U.S. that way. She says her friend didn't know much english, was not rich and did not have house or car. I am just curious if anyone knows anything about this? She says if she gets study visa, and then we marry in the states, she can stay with me and not have to go back while we do marriage paperwork. Any information would be appreciated, I would love to have her with me sooner than later (obviously)

Thanks

Jonas

Using a visitors visa or sudent visa with intent to marry here is fraud and can lead to a lifetime ban. Not a good idea

1. Using a student visa to come to the US and immigrate is visa fraud.

2. Getting a K1 is EASIER than a student visa. For a student visa you need to show that you have admission to a university/college and sufficient means to support yourself while you are here studying. Even so, showing all of these does not guarntee getting the student visa. There was someone on here a little while ago who had a nephew who met all the criteria but was denied the visa. Its not as easy as it looks. Remember, everyone's situation is different, so while it may have been easy for her friend, the same would not be true for her.

3. If you want to get married why not go the K1 route? It is the right visa for the situation and when she comes here she can go to school.

As the others have said, the route you are suggesting is considered Visa fraud. The best thing is to file K1, then go to school. Getting a student visa isn't easier/
