It's AOS time!

It's that magical time known as AOS!

I take it that on the G-325A, where it says at the top 'Husband or wife, if none so state' and then in the next part, 'Family name, for wife give maiden name;' and then first name, etc etc

I would put 'Husband' and then 'HubbyLastName' and then 'HubbyFirstName' and so on?

Or since I am the wife, do I put 'wife' and then his names?

Oy... full of questions.

On my visa, I understand that the red number is my visa number, but what is my A number that the G-325A asks for? I think the I-765 asks for this as well, or my I-94 number; I see several numbers on my I-94, I've got a Departure Number and a K-1 CAR number. Which one do I use for the I-765?

I wandered over into the AOS forum and they were able to clarify what the A number was, and was able to search around and find out that the I-94 number is the 11 digit number in the upper left of the I-94 under 'Departure Number".

I'm now puzzling over what evidence I have to send in with the AOS package, all we have so far is a joint bank account and a marriage certificate. Co-signing on the lease won't be possible for months, and the utility bills, etc. aren't joint-able.

Any thoughts?

I sent bank statements, and a bill in my name and the marriage certificate obviously..

not a whole lot so don't worry

utilities that are not "joinable": what we did was change the utility to my name... it's not like he needs to build credit anyway! =)

Okay, I'll send the joint acct info, the certified copy of our marriage license, and some mail addressed to me ... think that will cover it?

We're doing a joint sponsor so they'll be two I-864s.

We were supposed to send in proof of co-mingling for AOS? Oops...

I don't think we showed any proof of that since I thought that all happened at the removing conditions phase.

Oh well; Réjean was still approved for his green card, hehe.

I figure that if you send out the AOS packet right after you get married, there's not really much time at all to prove all the "joining your life" stuff.

I sent a copy of the Québec vaccination booklet that Réjean got at his medical. They didn't need it. *LoL* If your medical was done less than a year ago, then the medical results are in the sealed envelope and you won't need the supplement.

Q: Why are K non-immigrant visa holders asked to include a vaccination supplement when filing Form I-485 to adjust status?

Some countries allow K non-immigrant visa applicants to defer their vaccinations until after they arrive in the U.S. If the beneficiary's vaccinations were not completed as part of the visa process, it is necessary to include the I-693a vaccination supplement in the application.

If the beneficiary's vaccinations were COMPLETED as part of the visa process, IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO INCLUDE FORM I-693A IN THE AOS SUBMISSION. All your medical information is enclosed in the brown envelope which was handed in at the POE. The envelope is then forwarded on to USCIS where it will be consolidated with the I-485 submission, once received. If you received a copy of the Vaccination Documentation Worksheet (Form DS-3025) from your Panel Physician, you may include a copy of that form in your AOS submission in place of Form I-693a.

I didn't send in any evidence of co-mingling with the application, I don't think they need it until the interview stage, and they didn't even ask for it then. All we sent were the forms and whatever accompanying documentation was listed on the checklist.
