Well, I stopped wearing nail polish after the birth of my first baby and haven't really done it since (no time!). LOL. Now I love those nail boards that polish your nail to a shine. It looks like you have clear polish on, but you don't! It's great and takes no time at all.

I've got those...they are fantastic! I was given the set sold by the Israelis at the mall. Love it!

Oh wow, I just bought one of those the other day. I love the conditioning oil for the cuticles. But that stuff is sooo expensive. That Israeli guy was a smooth talker alright. Didn't hurt that he was cute too. :-P

If only you could come over we could put henna on your nails and you'd have nice "burnt sienna" nails for weeks/months! :)

I have a question about the Prophet. It was my understanding that he didn't know how to read or write. Supposedly this is why other people wrote his words and life. But I have a friend who told me not long ago that that wasn't true. Does anybody know the true answer to this?

It's the majority position of ahl al sunnah wa jamaah (aka sunnis) that the Prophet (saws) was in fact illiterate. There have been minority opinions throughout history saying that he at least knew a little of reading and writing, but the majority holds the evidence for that position to be weak, and that the stronger position is that he was illiterate.

For some reason, the copy and paste function doesn't work for me on this computer, so I can't supply the source for this, sorry

Hey Tina, have you heard something that I haven't??? Is there "movement" in Ahmed's visa process?? Insha'allah....

I've been thinking about this issue of nail polish and wudu, etc. and I just want to say that if you try to do anything that you just don't TRULY believe from the bottom of your heart, you run the risk of eventually becoming irritated by it.

If you believe from the bottom of your heart that your prayers are not heard or accepted unless you literally wash your naked nails then BY ALL MEANS DO NOT WEAR NAIL POLISH. If you don't yet believe this, then why would you do it?

Take your time to be convinced in your heart, and the rest will follow. Take it from a "Big Frank devotee", any other way will not be lasting.. Let your actions follow your heart.....

As always, I'm sure others may not agree, but I just had to say it... :innocent: Live from the inside out... and never try to force yourself to do something you haven't embraced with your heart, soul, and mind.

Hugz,

K

Thanks for that K! It is something I'm having a hard time with. The rest pretty much came in time, I'm sure this will too. (having a big frank crave moment now)

I do believe that I will have something to report very soon. :)
