Yeah... a girl married a moroccan last month started their journey and we just found out he passed away this weekend. It's heart breaking he was so young and she so far there is nothing that can be done..... Started freaking me out again. Called my husband just to hear his voice I told him and he was calm as usual I love him so much.......

That's just unbearably sad. Even if your loved one isn't in an country having some instability and military action, or anything, you still sometimes worry about the awful things that might happen to them. It's so heart-breaking to even think about, that I can't begin to comprehend what it might feel like. So cmnb I'm pretty sure everyone would be nothing but happy if you guys got expedited processing.

Rajaa, don't loose hope, who knows, maybe there's someone picking up your petition right now, going over it, stamping it and putting that NOA2 in the mail.:yes::yes:

CR-1 Timeline:

USCIS:

04-30-2008: I-130 Sent

05-08-2008: Received at California Service Center

05-10-2008: NOA 1

05-10-2008: Hard Copy

05-12-2008: Check cashed

07-22-2008: NOA 2

NVC:

10-27-2008: NVC sends an RFE requiring about my J-1 visa two year home country residency requirement. 3 days before the requirement (that never applied to me in the first place) would have become void.

11-7-2008:APPROVED

11-28-2008: Case fowarded to embassy after we get "a little help from our friends"...Interview scheduled for Monday 5th of January

12-30-2008: Interview cancelled by phone. A rude consular officer says "we have our reasons and will call you on monday."

01-05-2009: They don't call, so I call them and re-schedule for 01-07-2008.

01-07-2009: Interview. They don't say we're approved. They don't say that we're not approved. In fact they hardly say anything. No request for more documents or weird questions. They don't want to see any evidence. Just weird. They take my passport though, so most likely we are approved. Or else they just wanted my passport.

01-29-2009: The lovely consular officer tells me I can pick up my visa whenever I like!

01-30-2009: Visa in hand!

Rajaa, you are not the last.. i looked. hehehe... it just feels like you are the last..

but then, don't you have to wait until January for your husband so that he can move back from spain? so you see, it's ok even if you are last.. just trying to cheer you up, girl! although i don't think i'm doing a good job.. hehe

FINALLY was able to get my IIN from a very nice lady at NVC! really is better to call at night rather than in the day. they're kinda mean during the day.. i don't know why.. so i was able to pay my AOS fee bill online.. it's showing IN PROCESS right now.. on the AVR, still keeps saying that my case was received on July 25, blah blah blah blah.. nothing about anything being generated.. the USCIS website still has my case pending not approved.. not one email from CRIS..

off to email the DS-3032!

before i got the IIN, the AVR just kept repeating that they entered it into their system on July 25, please wait 6-8 weeks for the beneficiary.. blah blah blah.. didn't say anything about sending the AOS fee, generating any DS-3032.

as soon as i got my IIN, i immediately logged into the payment website.. Payment status for the AOS fee stated that it was invoiced so i went ahead and paid.. after that, status changed from INVOICED to IN PROCESS.

the IV fee status is of course, NOT INVOICED at this time..

so, i gave it 4 hours before i called NVC again to listen to the AVR. now it says that they received the AOS fee bill on July 30 and they will send further instructions within the next few weeks..

Its kind of scary...the frequent earthquakes in cali. I remember this was one of the things my husband mentioned saying hopefully I am not afraid of them...yeah right! Last tremour I felt killed thousands in India and bordering villages in pakistan. Stay safe Jen.

Rajaa if you've got all the documents, inshaAllaah the whole process at NVC should not take longer than a month. Please ask Reda to send you filled forms too like DS-3032 and DS-230.

Attached are the files uploaded by LOTO. Great fellow...very nice work done.

That's great, Now, when your AOS shows paid online, you will be able to print the barcode page and send in the AOS package.

Then sometime next week, your husband should receive an email saying they accepted the DS-3032.

A few days after that they will invoice your IV bill, and you can pay that. After it shows paid, you can print the barcode page and send in the DS-230 package. And about a week later, you should have case complete.

My prediction, you could have "Case Complete" the week of August 25th. Then the first week of September they can schedule your husband for an October interview.
