Hello everyone.

My fiance is having trouble getting a visa. It has been over 2yrs since he has been in AP. Reason being he has a common name as per DOS.

Is there anyone else out there with a similar problem and who got out of the situation.

We are applying thru Us consulate in India. I email consulate and call DOS every month and I get the same answer "Pending security checks". This our 5th check, the results are pending for over 7 months now.

Should I just withdraw the petition. I need some pick me up stories. Because I feel like I am the only one going thru this.

Need advise.

I'm so sorry for what you are going through:( I have never experienced AP so I can not even begin to imagine how frustrating it is for you and the rest of the ones hanging in AP right now. It sounds as if you cannot get anywhere with the consulate. :( Have you tried writing to your congressman or something to get them involved? I would do that for starters because freaking 2 years in AP......what are they looking for? To see if he's related to the Easter Bunny, c'mon.......I wish you the best of luck and my toughts are with you.

Ya it hasn't been 2 years, basically a 2006 case still stuck till 2008 and counting. I don't call DOS cause I don't want to hear the same thing, which just ruins my mood for the entire week. Its getting to be quite tiring, this wait, but yes I have seen people get out after that long a period of time. Nouri I'm with you on this wait and so is a whole lotta other people. With love,

Tammy....

As I always say, "God knows the right time, not us...." Yes it's slowing killing me day by day..but thats all I can say to relieve myself.

AP: Over 1 year.

Visa: Nov 2

US Entry: Nov 13, Alhamdulillah.

If you love your fiance you should wait Nouri, as others said Time it's in God's hand and he won't give you anything in bad timing always the perfect time. He knows what's good for our lives. Take care to yourself in the meantime. I also suggest calling senators and explaining the problems and ask if you can submit any kind of proof that can help your case. I don't know so much about AP but I can say you are strong for hanging in there. God bless

Have you contacted either your senator or congressman? It isn't that they can guarantee an approval, and they really can't speed up the process, but on the other hand if the security checks aren't being run properly and you have some that expire because of it then maybe they can be that extra push to get it done correctly.

All in all my heart goes out to you so take care.
