You write and or call, they will send u a form so they can be acquainted with your case and problems. Tell them your case details and ask them what you would like for them to check into, sometimes it takes a while and a little checking to find one that will take interest, they can get answers sometimes we cant.

My gut feelings tell me that it was not denied, but is undergoing normal AP, but without that form there is no guarantee. Your rep can get more info.

Yes, the fact that my fiance was not given a form really confuses me. The CO gave him back his passport and Form DS-157, nothing else. He retained everything else. I'm hoping we are just under AP.

Is it possible that the form will be mailed or emailed? Is it standard procedure that if they need anything else or if it is a denial, that they have to give it to the applicant after the interview?

I have never heard of them not giving you a form at the end of the interview, that is why your case is confusing. This small piece of paper is all you need to either give you direction to act or to sit back and wait. Shame on them for giving you this much stress.

Have you written the consulate? Also you can call the DOS in Washington. If they have updated your case they might have some answers, but I wouldn't bank 100% on them. I still say your rep is the best choice.

Yes, I've emailed the consulate yesterday (the immigrant visa assistant @ the embassy) and when I called yesterday, she told me that she forwarded my emails to her directly to the CO and expect a reply from him this week. She told me not to worry, it's not the end of the world (easy for them to say, I feel like my world is crumbling beneath me). I asked if our file will be sent back to the US, she said the CO will hold on to it until he gets whatever he needs from us.

I emailed the immigrant visa assistant again this morning asking her to kindly remind the CO to reply to my emails and to let us know what exactly he needs since he didn't give my fiance any type of form after his interview.

I'll search for my state rep now and I'll give them a call.

I would google your states congressman and senators office first. There are 2 congressmen and senators per state. Then look over their website to see if they sit on any committees for immigration. If you see that they sit on these committees this one would be the best to pick, but by all means feel free to contact all if you want. You can send them an e-mail or call them, but they should have a form that you need to sign and fax giving them your permission to call and ask questions on your behalf. I think if it were me I would call them, but print that form and have it ready to fax. If you tell them that they never gave you any form telling you the outcome of the case I would think that would spark them to move a little faster since it is a requirement.

Just a small clarification for the OP, and hopefully others reading this thread. Each state has 2 senators and as many congressmen as there are congressional districts in the state (congressional districts are drawn based on population, I believe).

If your profile information is accurate you're from California? Your two senators are Barbara Boxer (D) and Diane Feinstein(D) and there are over 50 congressmen from California.

Below is the website for the US Congress, where if you enter your complete ZIP code, it will give you the name of the congressman for your district. (There is also a "Write your representative" link right under this search by zip code area, which will directly link you to e-mailing your representative.)

I contacted my congresswoman and I was able to speak to one of her staff, Alana, who is taking care of the immigration stuff. I explained to her what had transpired and she advised me to wait this week and if no reply from CO by Friday, to give her a call back on Tuesday and they will make an inquiry to the Embassy in Barbados. Alana said they don't like to poke and prod especially if the people at the embassy in Barbados specifically told me that I should expect a response from the CO this week. But she will help me Tuesday if nobody contacts me from the embassy.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Absolutely....the letters of support from my friends should arrive by Friday as well. I am also expecting my full phone records from enjoyprepaid.com this week so I'll be ready for (hopefully) the CO. And if not, I'll fax the copies to my congresswoman's office. They already know our situation and will keep my papers in file until I call them to Tuesday to make the inquiry.

Good luck and God Bless.I know exactly how you are feeling right now,believe me.I suggest that you call your congresswoman and senator anyway and have her write you a letter of assistance.I am going to Panama with a letter from my congressman in my hand.Just the fact that they gave your fiance back his passport tells me that there is still a chance that he may receive his visa.
